There sure is a lot more bullshit coming out of the Pickens area today than usual. The cheerleaders must be having tryouts.

@ always the smartest man in the room (i.e. coop)

obviously there are exceptions to every rule, someone as smart as you should know that. its about reducing risks. i may damn well die of a heart attack at 35...but it won't be b/c i did it to myself via combo meals and sitting on my fat ass. i realize there are people like your great uncle...good for him...on the flip side i have many relatives who have eaten, smoked, and/or drank themselves to an early death in some way shape or form. not gonna be me. the rates of obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc (all fatal to varying degrees) skyrocketing in this country are not a fucking coincidence...of course you have some control over your health.

and you're right, when i said i workout everyday, i meant monday through friday. however i have gone months at a time where i worked out 7 days a week.

Gastric bypass? That's the old B.C. Inabinet procedure. Unfortunately, he cheated on the diet and dropped dead within two weeks. Don't know if your Clempson knowledge goes back that far.

Had a couple of dates with his daughter this past summer.

#4 - the guy who wrote the Book of Running died of a heart attack.

I don't workout every day, anybody who says they workout 7 days a week is lying, but I work out more than most in this country, which is not saying a great deal,

but your genes, good or bad, are going to be much more influential in what happens to you down the road, so take comfort in all your hours in the gym when you are diagnosed with something anyway.

Case in point: I have a great-uncle who smoked 2 packs of unfiltered cigarettes a day until 50, at which point he switched over to filtered cigarettes, and now is down to a pack a day, at age 95.

Man has nothing wrong with him but circulatory problems.

I will certainly go before him, yet would like to think I have led a much healthier lifestyle to this point, and should continue to.

But, if you truly think you are in control of what happens to your health, you are deluding yourself.

Is there anything other than shitty news today? I mean come on, something funny... any pissed off players throwng sandwiches, turds in coolers stories, or naked tree people protesting more athletic buildings? Hell, a simple player firing a gun in the air like an Iraqi wedding snip would be great right about now.

Herb@8: If I were an Appalachian fan, I don't think I'd be pointing to a loss, albeit a 'close' one, to an NC State team who then proceeded to go 2-9 the rest of the season as a landmark event.

It's great that people who can't let any food pass by their mouth can now just bypass their stomach. If Mangino ever gets skinny, there's gonna be enough extra skin to make a sofa.

Damn, with his high pay the least you think they could do is hire a personal chef for Mangino. That would be a solid start to getting himself into shape. It would be a shame for him to go out before his time, and his mean streak combined with his other issues has him barreling down myro cardial infarction parkway at autobahn speeds.

Dear God. I'd heard about Wilbon, but not about Bob Ryan's son. Condolences indeed.

And Godspeed to Larry Smith, a Cradle-man and fellow native of the "Homeland" (northwest Ohio).
