I am glad Joe kicked them off the team. A big reason Penn State underachieved in 2007 was because of all the legal mishaps they had. Hopefully this will nip it in the bud this year and 2008 will be a better season for my beloved Nittany Lions.

The only thing I could think of while watching that clip was Sam the Eagle tearing up his own home and street with machine gun fire and Scooter calling him “still an artist with the Thompson” in the next scene.

FWIW, PSU dropped Knowledge at the Alamo Bowl, literally and figuratively. Timmons was left off of the roster and did not make the trip to Texas for the game.

So, he’s sort of been kicked off for a couple of months, I guess this just kicks him out of the weight room.

JoePA still has it. Kicking football players off the team in spring, only to reinstate them in August(after they’ve met specified goals) is the shrewd move off a man who has been doing this for so long he can do it in his sleep -which he actually can and does.

P.J. O’Rourke…I haven’t thought about him in years. Did a funny piece on “Books to read at bedtime, in case you die in your sleep”.

It occurred to me that I would rather be discovered with a copy of something by Camus or Sarte on my corpse instead of my latest puruse, Martha Stewart,s “Holiday decorations for genitalia”.

Gotta think about these things at my age.
