Mmmm....who doesn't love the stink of assembled information resembling scandal? Not Brian, or us, for that matter.

Even everyone at MGoBlog agrees it’s smoke and mirrors.
Also, I’ll get these out of the way so no one else has to:
“Why’s Pryor going to Slowhio State anway?”
“Hope he enjoys losing title games.”
“He’s automatically a bust because he’s going to Michigan/Ohio State and I’m a(n) Ohio State/Michigan/Oregon/LSU/Florida/PSU fan”

Now I’ll never be able to watch A Knight’s Tale again. Not without sobbing uncontrollably.

So this is the second actor whose last part will involve a white painted face in a super hero movie. They happen in threes, so in ten years some twenty-something actor will bite it during or immediately after the filming of the “Marcel Marceau Story.”

It’s the sequel to River Phoenix that nobody wanted to see

Pants -
It may very well end up as nothing (either because there is absolutely nothing there or because the NCAA is to incompetent/powerless to care). But I do remember hearing about a car accident involving then-Michigan-basketball-recruit Mateen Cleaves and his Michigan player hosts. The Michigan player’s were in a new SUV, which led to questions.
Despite the fairly obvious red-flags nothing was proven until Ed Martin and his kid were indicted for numbers running.
The point? OSU may very well be completely innocent. But events like this invite scrutiny, and sometimes despite obstacles, things are discovered.
As a UM guy, I don’t see how this can play to our benefit. If something unscrupulous has taken place (and again I have no idea if it has) then Pryor seems likely to be at OSU or a third school so as to avoid trouble and not reward UM. If nothing has occurred, it would seem fairly easy for OSU to use the unfounded accusation against UM (and perhaps Penn State).
If I’m Rich Rodreguiz, I am seriously working plans B through E right now.

So there I was, drunk as a bat, naked behind a park bench, fornicating with a manila envelope.

Information is still coming in, but reportedly his last words were directed at the sleeping pills:
“I wish I knew how to quit you…”
Too soon?

Auburn fans are mouring his death since they embraced “Brokeback Mountain” as a damn good western with the great scenery and cowboys, even with the gay stuff, its hard to screw up a good western cowboy movie
He probaly killed himself watching reruns of First Knight…..or for making out with Donnie Darko

Also, everyone knows no black recruit is gonna give up a pimped out Chrysler 300c for a redneck corvette, thats just common sense
by Mr Pelican Pants on Jan 23, 2008 1:54 AM EST reply actions
Even if OSU buys Pryor a Corvette, what’s that $70,000? Doesn’t beat the near half million that Reggie Bush got while at USC. Plus its funny to hear a bunch of SEC backers, fans etc… go on about presumed recruiting violations. Thats like the pot calling the kettle black.

Damn, another everybody-does-it comment. Do people not realize this isn’t a valid defense?
Detective: Did you shoot this man?
Suspect: Yes, but Ted Bundy killed like thirty people.
Detective: Oh, really? Sorry for the bother. You’re free to go.

So he got a car, what’s new. Back in the Switzer days, the Oklahoma parking lot could be mistaken for Augusta National’s.
Beware the Sweater Vest.

Nutz, we of the SEC happen to be expert at spotting corruption…said expertise comes from experience. It sure wasn’t the NCAA that caught all those SEC schools…hell, no! It was other SEC schools who turned them in. Look, buddy, don’t get in our sights or Cheatypants McSweatervest will be losing more than championships to the SEC…

So Ohio State woos #1 recruits by arranging that they are given 4 year old mid life crisis cars?
Facts we know:
The Corvette is 2004 or older.
Who do you know under 40 that drives a Corvette?

When I worked at a dealership in Lexington Ky, I watched Derrick Anderson along with a few other teammates walk in our dealership, then walk out with a few new Ford explorers and I never seen them bring them back.

Biggus Rickus, you’re not so good with the analogies, are you?
As to the SEC, its not like deflecting the blame for committing a murder and saying Ted Bundy did it too, its like a murderer pointing to another murder asking “how could you do this?”
by Cotton Candy on Jan 23, 2008 2:19 PM EST reply actions
Actually, I was referring to the USC part. What’s $70,000 compared to $500,000?
