The era of Big 10 teams getting the benefit of the doubt is over (for now).
I think this is why Pete Carroll always scedules tough out of conference games (at least on paper) and is so willing to travel. As obsessed as the media can get over USC, I think he knows that there is a bias, at this point justifiable, in favor of the east/south and against the West. He knows he needs a signature out of conference win. The Big 10 should take note – and, actually OSU and USC play each other for the next two years.

Well, tOSU may return a zillion starters for next season, but the Trojans loom big and the game is in the Coliseum, and it will be game day, and they will already be down one by their second game of the year.

Why is it a given that USC will jump UGA in the final polls? ESPN douchebags all said it. Bunch of folks on here say it. Georgia was ahead of USC in all polls before the bowls. What did Georgia do that looked anything less than spectacular? Is beating Illinois really that impressive?
