I know it’s easier said than done, but if you are behind to a team that’s better, just go for it. Don’t stand there, just throw. If you miss, same result, the ball goes to the other team. At least give your team a chance at catching pass, no matter how small.

Of course, it’s the speed! That’s why LSU has fewer total yards, yards per run, yards per pass….
Somehow I think LSU being 11-15 on 3rd down and OSU being 2-10 has a little more to do with it.

App State could beat anyone in the Big Ten, outside of Ohio State. And yeah, they could probably take the lower half of the Top 25. What am I supposed to say? It was a terrible loss for us. I’m just proud we bucked up and ended up knocking off the defending champs in (what amounted to) their backyard to end the season.

What’s happened here so far is simple. One of these teams has had to “get up for the big game” five or six times this year. The other has done that two or three times. The team with the biggest balls is winning.

Don’t feel bad, one of the teams your guys lost to crushed one of the teams my guys (AU) lost to in the Sun Bowl. At least for us, our other three losses all won their bowl games (or it appears the third will). Miss. St., Liberty Bowl champs!!

Any speed difference is on the defensive line, not at the skill positions. The d-linemen in the SEC are strong and fast. It’s hard to prepare for that unless you see it regularly. The lack of that speed was what undid UF this year.
OSU reminds me a bit of Vanderbilt.

OSU looks befuddled.
Given Georgia’s two losses and lack of division title and USC’s loss to Stanford (not to mention a schedule that while very good on paper at the beginning of the season, ended up being weak), I’m not sure they “deserved” to be in the title game. But, I would have loved to see Georgia or a healthy USC match up with LSU.
Most anti-climactic end of season ever.
Someone asked whether an undefeated OSU would even be invited to the NC game again.
But, also, will a 2 loss SEC champ ever be left out again? IMO, only if two teams have 0 or 1 loss AND a strong strenght of schedule.
