Am I the only one who finds that hard to believe? How can someone so obsessively narrow minded and unpleasant have a lot of friends?

I think OSU wins the game, as down is the new up this year.

tOSU lost to Illinois but it was a close game. True statement. tOSU beat a damn good Miami team in 2002. Also the truith. Deal with it.

Kansas State’s nonconference schedule that year was worse than Ohio State’s was this year (although you could say that about a lot of Snyder-era Wildcat teams) . Wayyy overrated.

Speaking of overrated… OU’s 2 losses that year were to KSU, equally overrated, and LSU, the only decent opponent they played that year. Yes, it was a down year for the Big 12.

Considering you were playing a Charlie Weis-coached Notre Dame team… that’s not hard. Notre Dame was also overrated,

Also, I noticed you didn’t even try to defend the ‘99 Sugar Bowl against the Aggies who beat yet another overrated Kansas State team to get there.

Trying to expalain away tOSU’s 4-1 BCS bowl record is dumb. Any win in a BCS game is a “quality win” (Even Georgia over Hawaii).

I see tOSU beating LSU by 4 with coaching being the determining factor. Les will have his luck run out.

I think a healthy USC would beat tOSU at this point. There was a whole lot of luck in addition to Booty’s broken finger that went into the Stanford loss. But the best team I saw all year was Oregon before Dixon got hurt.

Sorry but I have no idea what the final score will be and if I were to guess it right it wouldn’t mean I’m a genius or if I were to guess it wrong it wouldn’t mean I’m an idiot. It think it’s a closer than what the experts think and Beanie Wells could have a good day running the ball. 24-20 Ohio State.

I thought Illinois played well until they started to turn the ball over in the red zone, they are still not good enough to beat USC had they scored instead.

That said, USC looked great, especially on defense, but I also think that Juice Williams had a career day against Ohio State — and he should get the credit for it more than Ohio State getting the blame for losing the game. Juice had a Chad Henne/Michigan vs. Florida type performance against us.

Ohio State vs. USC in the rose bowl would have been a great game, but let’s see how the Buckeyes play against LSU before we compare notes…USC gets the advantage of having looked good in the Bowl game…prior to the Rose Bowl I would have said that it would be extremely evenly matched and Ohio State, with the running game, had a decent shot at beat USC at home in the Rose Bowl.

We’ll get to see these two lock horns in September next year…should be a classic. I have a ton of respect for USC, they will go anywhere and play anyone and they have dominated the SEC in their last 4 games.

They certainly look that way right now, but Mizzu, WVU, and Georgia all looked pretty good too.

Jake: I think Swindle is whipped because he has stopped the Friday cheescake thing. Stranko used to do a good job on cheescake duty, but he has been missing in action, much like any excitement in this bowl season. He is probably whipped too, by his attractive Hispanic wife, if she is still around.

I think USCw at full strength is clearly a better team than tOSU and I doubt anyone on here, including TAFKAtOSUB, would disagree.

However, the same could’ve probably been said about the 2002 Miami team as well.

Herbstreit said that he would have preferred OSU in the Rose Bowl than in the BCS title game, because losing in the Rose Bowl would not nearly be as bad as losing, again, in a prime time game where more people are watching.

If USC-w played the Buckeyes, both at full-strength like they are right now, what do you think the score would be? I think the score would have been 35 to 13.
