The wife needs some consideration. She worked while this loser went to school, played football and basically had his needs met. I bet she is the source of the car payments, as well. She also had his two kids. Any of you boys had children? What does it take you...oh, thirty seconds or less for that small amount of semen to do the deed. A woman spends the next nine months with morning sickness, back pain, weight gain, can't see our feet, etc. You boys, well...nothing. Then comes the HOURS of labor. You boys...sitting there telling us to breathe. Please. This woman should take this creep to the cleaners. He decided that he just doesn't want to be married anymore and he wants to trade up.

Have you seen him? He isn't exactly a prize. Although, I assume he will appear much better looking with a nice NFL contract.

@10 - You mean the part where the Bulls are taking various chemicals? Or the part where they cannot write cat if you spotted them the C and T (thank you Ol' Ball Coach)? The NFL only cares if you can run, hit, and block. Not necessarily in that order.

@20 - By revealing that she wrote all his papers she established that she helped him retain his eligibility. Without her assistance, Moffitt is bounced from USF after his first semester. Instead, he stayed at USF and improved his future income (i.e., NFL payday). Thus, she contributes to his future earnings and is entitled to a portion of his income.

Given the number of law students who troll read this web site, I am surprised no one has discussed this issue.

Put another way, let's say you rake in big sales year after year. You accomplish this feat in part because your significant other provided a hummer every night so you could relax and remain focused on the big picture.

Thanks to your riches, 18 year old skanksvirgin Catholic school girls find you attractive. You dumpupgrade from said provider of hummers for a Tri-Delt with 34DD.

The now former provider of those hummers is entitled to any future income that those old sales contract generate. And, if I am not mistaken, you will have to prove that any new sales contracts were not the direct result of those old sales contracts that you landed while receiving hummers from the former provider.

Moral of the story: Keep the Tri-Delt with 34DD on the sly. Or convince your significant other that three is better than two.

Coop, I don't think we can talk about what round he's potentially going to be drafted at anymore unless he pulls a 4.4 40 yd. dash time and 50 rep bench press out of his posterior at the combine.

Because you know the 'roid allegations are coming from the jilted wife, it's just a matter of time.

#12 has it right. I remember they kept showing her and talking about him going to the NFL.

If someone could find a picture... wow.

I actually had a conversation with my friends about it as we watched the game. Overweight and unattractive. Not surprising that he's jetting with the payday on the horizon, although I imagine since its so imminent, its likely she still gets a fair piece. (and does doing his work in college count as "providing support" ?)

Yeah, I am a bit befuddled by the timing of these revelations by the wife.

It appears she caught him committing adultery one too many times, and cares more about hurting him than any sort of potential upcoming payday.

How high is this kid projected to go in the draft?

I would think several teams would have loved his "commitment" to the game, school, and family, and taken him higher than his physical tools would have put him, otherwise, if he is one of those guys who could be, realistically, drafted anywhere between the 3rd and 7th Rounds.

NCAA isn't going to do squat about said accusations. His football career is now over, therefore the NCAA has zero enforcement power. Mr. Moffitt just needs to refer back to page 63 of Mr. Reggie Bush's book which clearly reads..."KEEP YO DAMN MOUF SHUT!"

SKLM,

If you go the NY Times Quad blog, which covers college football, the original writer talks about how this story has gone sour on him:

http://thequad.blogs.nytimes.com/

The author, Pete Thamel, reads EDSBS, as they link here occasionally.

NY Times Dept:

While Googling, trying to find a picture of little Miss Moffitt, I read this “up with life” article about Moffit, and how much of a good father he was, traveling over 110 miles per day, going back and forth from his “happy” as pappy home life.

Excerpts:

“…It is the first leg of his 55-mile trip to Tampa. By living so far away, Moffitt has assured a more comfortable, family-oriented life for his wife and two children. But that sacrifice means a 110-mile round trip every day. He leaves as early as 3:30 a.m. for winter workouts and arrives home as late as 7 a.m. after a road game. Moffitt has driven a Kia into the ground (“It didn’t scream linebacker,” he joked of the car), has compiled about $200 in U.S.F. parking tickets and has traveled well over 100,000 miles.

..defensive coordinator Wally Burnham said. “But he’s totally committed to both his family and football. He’s always put his family first.”

Amazing, it was written in Sept 2007.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/22/sports/ncaafootball/22usf.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
