GOOD GAME, SIR

Only fitting that in Opposite Year (as opposed to Opposite Day), that Lloyd Carr and Michigan would slip the shackles of malicious fate and win a game they were not, by any measure of word, expected to win. Michigan embodied the twisted braid of 2007 football kismet: losing to Appalachian State, bouncing back to face tOSU for the Big Ten crown, losing a bitter and winnable rivalry game, and then finding redemption in a hardfought game with Florida where they outmanned the Gators across the board.
Carr’s time as a coach is done, but earmark this moment in time for a reason. In a season where semantically everything went against script, two things happened in this game that came straight out of Hollywood football central casting: a retiring coach who did things the right way won his last game, and the Heisman Trophy winner lost his postseason game. Michigan crawled a long, Lemmywinksish path up the large intestine of the 2007 college football season. As must as it sucked to be the fall guy in the script, it was nice to be part of a crowd-pleaser, even if it meant enduring the part of an agonizing death scene.
Good game and good-bye, Lloyd. See you in the Bo suite.

I may not have been here all day, but I was here the day after the App St. game, yet I don’t hear the same ppl now that I heard that fateful day. I was also here after the Oregon game. I came here as a Mich Fan and took my lumps. It comes full circle, brotha. It was an Awesome game, and I didn’t mean any disrespect, I was just giving it back as it had been given all season. I respect the shitout of UF and thouroughly enjoyed the MNC game LY.

I’m suprised at the lack of highlights of the Capital One Bowl. As a Michigan fan, I was bombarded by coverage of upsets earlier in the year.
Now, not so much.

If the Georgia team comes out and does the Hawaii players’ pre-game chant ritual, that would be very enjoyable to see.

That Michigan team was loaded and I think time will show that Lloyd Carr didn’t handle them very well…4 turnovers and still win?
Great hire in Rich Rod…the game passed LC by…

Three hours up to Orlando and three hours back home. Entertaining game in spite of the loss — couple of Michigan fans in front of us and we all joked about how our respective teams were doing their best to give the game away — no one was sure of the outcome until under 2:00 mark.
My question — how did Florida expect to win giving Henne all the time he wanted to find an open receiver? I don’t believe I saw one Florida blitz the whole game.
Still, a much better game to watch than USC-Illini, or Georgia-Hawaii.
Best line of the year: reporter asks Lloyd Carr how, as a Michigan man, he would like to remembered. He replied, “Just that way, as a Michigan man.”
God, I’m going to miss college football the next several months.

Ha, the Florida fans are strangely quite. It’s ok though. You just don’t have Big Ten speed.
