And on Tuby's history with coordinators. Before Borges, he has fired three in nine years.

Fired: Mazone and Levitt after 2001
Fired: Gibbs after 2005 (he really sucked given the talent)

Left on his own: Petrino after 2002
Left on his own: Chizick after 2004

Demoted: Hugh Nall back to O-line after one year OC stint in 2003.

#34, Tony franklin is his name-o. He is a very good recruiter from reports and runs a very big QB camp that draws kids from all over the country.

He was the OC at Kentucky under the former regime, I believe.

If Muschamp is the next Bob Stoops, then AU should have waived Tubs buyout and let him go wherever, then promoted Muschamp to HC.

I highly doubt that it has to do with Kodi Burns and his ability to grasp an offense. Borges was the only AU OC that could teach Jason Campbell an offense.

Rumors are AU's new OC will be the OC from Troy, can't remember his name. He looks to be a hell of an X's and O's guy, but apparently doesn't recruit. Not sure about that trade off.

So Al Borges went from genius to goat in two years? Unless he also served as their offensive line coach he got the shaft.

Is it just me or does it seem like Auburn didn't actually accomplish that much under Tuberville before Borges got there? A 38-24 record, one appearance in the SEC title game (blown out by Florida), and an epic collapse by a 2003 team ranked #6 in the preseason?

Muschamp is a younger version of Bob Stoops. Stoops coached under the very good, albeit psychotic and paranoid, Bill Snyder and the great, being serious as he did win 6 SEC titles in 12 years, Steve Spurrier (whom the Bowdens OWN), before taking over at Oklahoma.

Muschamp has learned from the very good Saban and Tubbs, and he is the perfect face for a SEC squad.

Granted, he is not as experienced as Stoops was when he took over in Norman, but Muschamp just screams the second coming of Stoops, at least to me. Like Stoops, he will be an outstanding recruiter.

All he needs is a visor, and he is Stoops, reincarnated.

The only thing is he will leave Arkansas or wherever for Georgia in 15 years or so.

Somehow I don’t see anyone lacking the composure or intelligence to offer more than a ‘boom motherf***er yeah’ as being CEO material.

You are aware that the previous Arky coach was a bag of crazy weasels, right?

Or was he the ferrets?

It’s moot, as they have a new home in Oxford but, still, Muschamp will be a dignity upgrade in Fayettenam.

I don't think Kodi Burns intelligence is the problem. He's actually pretty smart. There were several isues including the fact that Al did not recruit (at all) and that he was unable or unwilling to have an adequate back-up QB ready last year when Brandon Cox was playing on crutches. Also, he never really fit in with the other coaches.
