OH, THAT'S PRACTICALLY SIBERIAN OF YOU

There's cold, then Siberian...then there's the Absolute Zero kind of cold. This response to the a police dog biting Jerraud Powers along the endzone sideline Saturday is beyond frosty. We need new verbiage for the degree of coldness delineated there.

(We have no idea who did this...but well played, sir. In a ruthless, heartless bastard way.)

The second that happened I remembered watching two students jump over the fence onto the field at Legion Field in 1990 after Bama broke the 4 game streak… they got all of 2 feet onto the sideline (understand, there’s about 20 feet of sideline at LF, so they weren’t close to the playing field) before the Birmingham police were attacking them with dogs and night sticks.

If you look closely at the video, you can see a spot of white in the dog’s hindquarters.

It’s really UGA VI in a police K-9 disguise, reinacting our favorite Auburn vs. UGA interaction. Gonna make a great poster!

So, following in the illustrious career of the first Auburn player to almost get bitten by a dog during a game, Robert Baker as I recall, does this mean that this Auburn player will also get busted trafficking dope to pay off gambling debts?

I’m sending that photo to the Athletic Department to shame them into keeping the damn dogs off the field. So if you rush the field after a victory, you deserve to be ripped apart by an attack dog?
What if Powers had rolled into the dog?

If that had been an opposing player bitten, no one would be laughing. If it had been a Tide player, the Bammers would have burned down the stadium, and not just Toomer’s Corner.

way to find a way to lay the blame on the tide. the person who made that picture is pretty damn funny…neil young however, is a no talent assclown.

Gerry Dorsey,

Hey, we agree on something – Neil Young. A southern man don’t need him around anyhow.

by WDamnE on Nov 27, 2007 5:15 PM EST reply actions

My apologies. The thing is I had heard about the Auburn player being bit, but I didn’t know he was also black. I didn’t automatically put the two and two together.

But since I guess its the South, I should have known it usually comes down to something race related, right?

I’m surprised PETA hasn’t filed a complaint for the shameless exploitation of the dog in question. Perhaps they could stage a protest outside of Auburn’s next home football game. Maybe Coach Tommy Tuberville could jump on the bandwagon and support the PETA cause by appearing in an ad nude with the caption “I’d rather go naked than wear fur.” Wait….oh god, that image just burned itself into my brain….

POLICE REPORT: Nick Saban’s Home ‘egged’

Tuscaloosa Police reported that an individual attempted to “egg” Coach Nick Saban’s home last night.

The report stated:

An empty egg carton was recovered at the scene. Two eggs hit Coach Saban’s house, 3 eggs went over his house and hit his neighbor’s back door, 2 eggs hit the houses of each of his next door neighbors, and the remaining 3 eggs were found broken on the ground near the carton from where the individual threw them. Looking at what was hit, police
officials say they are considering John Parker Wilson as the primary suspect.

Age has nothing to do with getting this reference. If you were old enough to remember these events, say 5 years old, that would put you at 52. Do you think that most of us are in our fifties chatting away on EDSBS?

It has to do with learning about America. Watch the frickin history channel for a change vs. espn. Or better yet, use you mad wii skilz for good and read a book.

Rant off.

by meatybob on Nov 27, 2007 9:45 PM EST reply actions

I agree that dogs are unneeded to prevent field rushing. The 500 security guards are enough. Despite the theory of “if enough of us go out there, they can’t get us all” no one is willing to take the risk of being the fist one out only to have everyone else abort and leave you to spend the night in the poky.

a. I thought the picture was clever and funny because it is made by someone who is very aware of the south’s horrible history of violence towards minorities.

Neil Young is an actual songwriter and musician, which is more than anyone can say about 95% of people who are considered “artists” today in the music industry. You might not like or agree with his music, but to call him talentless is just plain ignorant

c. I hate auburn

Just to sack up for my young peeps. I remember learning all about the civil rights stuff – hell it was the main Q on the AP US history test and I got a 4 – and I didn’t have any idea what that joke was referencing at all.

by Brian on Nov 28, 2007 8:25 AM EST reply actions

Neil Young blows goats, and a Southern Man don’t need him around anyhow.

Having the dogs on the field was retarded anyway. We’ve rushed the field ONCE in the past 25 years. And that was only because we beat the #1 team when unranked (and we deserved to be unranked, we weren’t good, which is why i still believe rex grossman is the worst QB in the NFL that has ever made a super bowl). We certainly weren’t going to rush the field for beating bammer…again

Oh, and HOSE THEM DAWGS!
