HOUSTON NUTT BUSTS UP IN THERE

Oh, you mad copy editors you. Chris Fowler makes an abominable (and therefore admirable) pun in an on-air segment with Pat Forde during Gameday Saturday.

The extra spice comes from him saying it twice: "BUSTS in there, BUSTS up...that's Houston Nutt, BUSTING in there. I said, NUTT is BUSTING..."

Between Nutt busting it up in there and D-Mac bringing the wood, is it any wonder Mustain transferred?

by Jonsi on Nov 26, 2007 4:54 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Oh they’ll love him in Midtown.

Houston — manic for his backs and making GTech football Nutterful.

What, no Casey Dick references, Chris?

by hailstate on Nov 26, 2007 5:05 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

The best thing that could possibly happen is for Casey Dick to get so angry at his coach’s firing that he pulls a Mustain and transfers to Oregon State.

The next day’s headline reads (drumroll, please):

“Angry Dick Chases Beavers After Arkansas Busts Nutt.”

Doug, that joke would be a lot safer if USC was somehow involved.

by Oops Pow Surprise on Nov 26, 2007 5:19 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Which USC — Trojans or ’Cocks? Either way, it sounds hilarious.

Now, the Commercial Appeal is saying that HDN is in negotiations with Ole Miss…

Nutt to Ole Miss is likely.

The hot, new rumor is Muchamp to GT.

Another rumor…Brooks is going to retire while the gettings good.
Could we see some Kentucky pirate action?

Ridiculousness Dept:

In Los Angeles, the radio station that carries the ucla bruins football games, AM 570, is coming up with the following beauties to replace Dorrell at the end of the season:

1) Boise State’s Peterson

2) Steve Spurrier

3) Rick Neuheisel

What a joke!

However, Nutt would be a great choice for ucla.

Trojans and Nutts in LA, imagine the headlines…..

I am a Man Dept:

The other nut-job coach who had a major malfunction this year, the one that ‘coaches’ at Oklahoma State, should be FIRED, FIRED, FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I am picking on him because he is a ‘man’, because he ‘coached’ like garbage this season and because he wasted millions of dollars of that program’s sugar daddy – T Bone’d Pickens.)

Will there ever be a coaching vacancy in which a Spurrier rumor doesn’t pop up?

I’d love to see Arkansas and Ole Miss trade coaches.

Coach O is just too awesome to leave the SEC!

Also, I’d love to see Les Miles pop up in Michigan, where I understand there is a far more widespread taffy supply, keeping his addiction fed.

If Rich Brooks leaves Kentucky, I hope he’s replaced with Mike Leach. The awesomeness of a Kentucky team lead by the ole’ pirate himself competing in the SEC East… Amazing unimaginable blowout of Tennessee one week, followed by inexplicable loss to Southern Twaliston Mechanical Institute the next…

Wikipedia that venerable bastion of highminded journalism (read: all the news that I can maliciously tamper with) was listing Nutt as the head coach of Baylor. A quick whois of the IP that did the editing indicates it’s a bellsouth customer in Atlanta…which seems odd that they should be suggesting Baylor as the new home.

Keibler — you really think Slick Rick wouldn’t come back to UCLA?

Well, I guess a better question is if UCLA’s got a semi-menopausal fiftyish lady athletic director who thinks he’s dreamy. Or, you know, a dude who thinks he’s cute — it is LA, after all.

by Albino Tornado on Nov 26, 2007 11:19 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Fortunately, sklm, Neuheisel will never be asked based on his previous carryings-on at Washington, even though he would be an interesting choice, but being the ‘ruins, they really need a Nutt case to run their program, but I’m not sure they have the dinero!
FIGHT ON, let Dorrell have it for the last time on Saturday, and we will take our chances with his successor!

I’m sure Orson is full of excitement after hearing about Nutt going to Ole Miss. So much material to post in so little time….

Just when I thought we got rid of him. I can’t wait until the next Colonel Reb song about The Nutt!

Col Rebel is out of tears by now, crying for 40 years or so.

At least the Orgeron had him man-up every once in a while.

ESPN’s reporting it now too.

That’s the way to hold on to DACOACHO’S recruiting class: “We apologize for the 72-hour interruption in crazy, but service has now been restored. Thank you for your patience.”

GIGGITY!
