I’d like to say that one time in the mid-90s I was watching the Bayou Classic on NBC…and the referee announced a personanl foul with the description of “smacked ‘im upside tha head”. I was in awe.

they said “holding” initially, then “block in the back.” Apparently they didn’t see the NCSt. lineman “givin’ him the business.” Retards.

Cherry is reviled throughout the ACC, and I have to hope this was his little treat to himself in his last game. He is clearly trying to attract attention to himself by ripping off an NFL films tidbit. It would be one thing if it were his natural personality coming through, but this seems like a premeditated bid to get attention, and whenever officials try to make themselves part of the story, bad things happen. Very unprofessional — if I were the commish, I’d suspend him.

I guess Tebow is Superman!

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida quarterback Tim Tebow has a broken right hand and will be in a cast for at least two weeks.

The Heisman Trophy hopeful sustained a non-displaced fracture in his non-throwing hand during his 5-yard touchdown run on the opening drive of the third quarter against Florida State, team spokesman Steve McClain said Sunday.

Team doctors looked at his hand and did some tests on the sideline, but Tebow said he was OK to play and stayed in the game.

X-rays following Florida’s 45-12 victory revealed the severity of injury.

The Gators (9-3) probably will play in either the Capital One Bowl in Orlando or the Outback Bowl in Tampa on New Year’s Day, and they expect Tebow to be back in time to play.

It was called on the State lineman, and I can assure they didn’t have 70K people in the stands in Raleigh, yesterday.

Ron Cherry, most ACC fans will agree, and his crew are the worst refs in the conference, and shocking that I would say this like every other fan from every other conference would say, and possibly the country.
