Okay, I’m going to draw the line there. There is no fucking way Hawaii deserves to get in over Ohio State with the last-overall SOS in the entire fucking FBS when Ohio State’s is at least 31st depending on who you listen to. Who the fuck has Hawaii beaten? The same Boise State team that was blown out by a Washington team that Ohio State in turn blew out?

Stop basing your judgments of tOSU off of one fucking game. I don’t even think we’ll make the title game, but if we do, you’d be an idiot not to give us a shot against the murderer’s row of Kansas, Missouri or West Fucking Virginia.

As a Buckeye fan, it tickles me a little that, in some of the story lines following last night’s madness, Michigan is an indirect reason for the Buckeyes to be back in the front three for the MNC game.

“LSU appeared off their game last night, Kirk. It might have to do with this controversy surrounding Les Miles and his future at Michigan. None of these guys would admit to it, nor Les Miles himself, but somewhere, deep down, they were thinking about it, and that was enough to give Arkansas the edge.”

Gotta love those story lines. Of course, I don’t believe that BS, but if anyone else heard how much the announcers wanted LSU to win last night… of course, it couldn’t be Arkansas that beat LSU, it had to have been LSU beating LSU.

It wouldn’t be possible for UGA to only have 2 losses unless they win the SEC, in which case they’re going to New Orleans.

The only possible at-large v. at-large bowls would be the Fiesta if the B12 champion goes to the NCG or the Sugar if Georgia somehow makes the NCG to face Ohio State (it could happen if WVU loses and Oklahoma wins the B12). If it’s the Fiesta, they will be hard pressed not to take the loser of Kansas/Mizzou to replace the B12 champ. The Sugar might be able to take both LSU and USC if they lose Georgia to the big one.

In a different scenario, if LSU loses the SECCG to Tennessee, the Tigers could face USC in the Rose if Oregon loses again and Oklahoma spoils hopes of the Kansas/Mizzou winner, sending Ohio State to the NCG, but I don’t think that the Rose would take a 3-loss (2 in a row) LSU over other at-large teams, such as 1-loss Kansas or 2-loss Georgia (not SEC champs).

It’s theoretically possible for LSU and USC to meet in the Sugar if Oregon wins the P10, but it’s doubtful that all the other BCS bowls would pass on USC. Sugar gets last pick this year.

Rickus – spot on, my friend. This year is a down year for everyone. And don’t forget how injury-plagued USC was.

Next year will have some certifiable juggernauts – Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ohio State, West Virginia (if Slaton and White return), and possibly USC depending on Matt Sanchez’s development.
