If Chait were coach I am sure he would be a great recruiter because he could always tell the recruits all the negative stories about how other school’s coaches made fun of inured players, ran over dogs with their tackling sleds, and wore children’s skulls on their heads during practices instead of helmets.

Of course, like his magazine’s anti-troop fantasy piece the Bagdad Diarist, none of it would be true.

(i recognize that Chait was not directly involved in the Scott Beuchamp disgrace, and this is joke piece, but seriously that magazine is a laughingstock).

jon chait will not be head coach at michigan. try saying “coach chait” 3 times real fast. just doesn’t work.

Yeh he has already agreed to take the job, in principle, he and his wife has met with the AD in the hotel lobby and they have a gentlemens agreem……….wait, uh, reports are coming in that the editors have had a double secret meeting and are offering more money and time off to stay at the New Republic, promising more supplies and better office equipment….my God Michigan came soooo close…..what an embarrassment, to get turned down by their second choice….how will they every recover….??
