Saban is a great recruiter and puts together a great staff (that can recruit as well). Too bad he was not at LSU to reap the benefits of his #1 and #2 recruiting class that is now graduating. He is a good coach, but I would agree-the SEC is loaded in great head coaches and Saban is not the best.

Though that won’t really matter…I hear rather than face another embarrasing season, Ole Miss has disbanded its football team and cancelled the rest of the season. The fans, still hanging out in the Grove with their tents and coolers, haven’t noticed.

They most likely would have been in the 6th grade and many elementary schools include the 6th grade (mine didn’t).

The way RIP stated it, it looked like he was poking fun of the term “Elementary School” as archaic. If his point was the one you stated, then it was a very weak one (as you noted).

Hopefully you intentionally missed RIP’s point. If not, I believe he meant that a senior in high school would have seen Alabama beat Auburn in middle school. Not much difference, and oh dear God it’s been so long.

That being said. Mr. Good Leg, I thought Auburn was a family? Surely, no one that goes to Auburn bases the decision on wins and losses in silly football. Why, that would be dangerously close to basing one’s self worth on a football team…

Elementary school still exists to this day in many places. My elementary school still uses that term to refer to itself. “Junior high” and “middle school” don’t refer to the 1st-5th grade usually, which is known by many as Elementary school. I believe the archaic term which you seek is “grammar school,” which was a term my mid/late 50’s parents used.

Most kids these days attend something called “junior high” or “middle school.” Based on your writing, I’m assuming you were bringing in the peanut crop during those crucial developmental years.

Unfortunately, the Tahders begin brainwashing their children with lies almost at birth. Maybe you’ve seen the ‘Got 12′ T-shirts on children born a good 8 or more years after the UA,T’s last MNC.

How can facts compete with that? Little Johnny red neck is going to grow up thinking if only he plays for the Tide, THEN the glory days will come back.
