Usually it’s not the brothers that cause the problems, it’s visitors that come to our house and think they’re in it and run it. Obviously these Pitt kids thought that and started that situation with your OSU brothers.

I disagree that our charter should be revoked and all that shit. It’s an isolated incident. Just punish the people involved, one not being the president. The president is a good brother and does a ton for that house – it’s idiots like the VP that give PIKE at PSU a bad name.

Last time I checked the video contained people screaming “Fuck Ohio”.

And, yes, I would say these things to your face over a beer. That’s life – I tell people how it is… friend or foe. And you’re right. Getting into this on forums is pointless. The bottom line is that the people at that party were wrong. ALL of the PSU PIKE brothers were wrong (to not stop what was happening). And the VP behind the camera should get his ass kicked for not sticking up for his brothers (no matter where they’re from) but instead joining in nd perpetuating the taunting. Now, why in the world would you be mudslinging on other chapters of your SAME fraternity? Perhaps because of insecurities about your chapter. If I’m not mistaken, there’s something called nationals, which sounds like everyone from EVERY PIKE CHAPTER is UNITED. Doesn’t make much sense to me to be shit-talking your own fraternity.

It seems to me like you haven’t even watched the video. Like goPIKAatPSU said, and like the video proves, there is nothing that can even begin to be called a “mob of screaming drunk people.” Secondly, I believe the PIKEs from OSU, your brothers, stayed at the PIKE house at PSU on Friday night, and nothing happened. The fact is, from the sounds of it, you weren’t at the PIKE house at all that weekend, and therefore, have no idea of what actually happened. It’s alright though, you can run around talking all you want and contributing to a situation that is already completely overblown. Lastly, by the profanity in your posting and the personal attacks on the President and Vice President of PIKA at PSU, it seems as though you are the one who is not the “true PIKE gentleman.”

I dont think many people will be going PiKA at PSU seeing as you guys are suspended. And I truly hope your charter gets revoked, it needs to happen.

First of all I am not defending anything that went on and sorry that it happened – I’m just saying that this is getting blown way out of proportion because this happens EVERYWHERE. Even at good old Ohio State opposing fans get dumped on like this.

After watching the video I can assure you that I did not see one Penn State PIKE brother involved in the incident. And when the video moves back to the crowded party no one is rowdy and everyone seems to be looking over to see what is going on. It wasn’t an organized incident and didn’t include everyone at the party. This was a result of a few kids being assholes, so don’t blame the entire party and/or fraternity.

I would completely understand the violence and anger from the PSU kids had the OSU guy ran by pissing all over their driveway saying, “FUCK JOEPA!! FUCK PENN STATE!!! BRAAAAAAAAAAINS!!” And it would make it worse if he had just dropped a steamer on the hood of the PIKE president’s car. But I highly doubt he did any of that.

I’m not saying violence would be the right reaction in that case, but if you are dumb enough to be an asshole in front of a crowd of proud fans, someone is likely to give you an assbeating. In my opinion this kid didn’t do that, and therefore, he shouldn’t have been abused the way he was.

There’s nothing wrong with heckling opposing fans, but to violently chuck beer cans at a guy IS.

The reason people reported it to the police is because what they did was illegal and disturbing. I wish some cops were on hand to see that, actually. That “Alabama Shag” kid would have gotten his ass tased.

You’re right about taking one person to cause a bad rep and I realize this, but this incident hits closer to home since I lived in the that house and they are getting a bad name because (like you said) idiots visit from other schools and cause trouble.

The entire incident is frustrating, and I am surprised that everyone seems so shocked that something like this happened. It happens everyone but the difference is that it’s not usually caught on tape.

Did you see when the video turned around? There was no raging mob, most of the people had no idea what was going on and didn’t care. It was a few idiots that caused this to go down, none of which who lived there.

If throwing beer cans is so vicious and hurts real bad, why was the kid walking in slow motion when he was leaving? He almost looked like he was enjoying the attention. Obviously that is still not a reason to throw anything at anyone, but it didn’t help the situation.

And now you are getting real personal over a forum saying things you would never say to a person face to face. You know nothing about me and nothing about my upbringing. Keep your discussion on the topic at hand and not on me. People like you are frustrating in forums. I didn’t participate and wasn’t there at the time, so don’t turn your attack to me.

As far as a whole fanbase getting a bad rap because of the actions of a few, that is just what happens and you have to deal with it. It only takes a fan to take a dump in a styrofoam cooler or drunkenly have the new coach sign her boobs and the whole school takes grief about it. You won’t be the last.

In general the frats at tOSU were very mellow and subdued when I was there (certainly compared to the ones at USC). The people most likely to cause trouble in Columbus were goobers who came in from off campus to raise hell on gameday (sort of like the guy from Pitt in the PSU video).
