OHIO STATE FANS BECOME SYMPATHETIC. LIGHTNING STRIKES UP.
Ohio State fans have achieved the impossible. Despite craving the taste of teargas from birth, allegedly beating up handicapped people, and entering each game with the homicidal zeal of an ultra-nationalist Spartak supporter armed with a Camelbak full of cut rate vodka distilled from radioactive Ukrainian produce, you have become an object of sympathy.
Mission accomplished, Penn State fans. You now have the mantle of playing the barbarians in Capital One commercials. You can even now crush that small businessmen smugly in the ads, too, you dicks. You never give him a chance.
THAT WAS THE SICKEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN! YOU ARE THE MAN! We’re shocked they didn’t fistpound and then immediately play tummysticks out of sheer excitement before watching Penn State die a slow, miserable death 37-17 to Ohio State. We commend the Florida legislature for their foresight in passing a bill to make firing your weapon under threat legal, as these people clearly would have been shot in response to the beer-pelting. (Remember: don’t tase me, bro! Shoot me. Tasing is for real bitches.)
Subcommandante Wayne says he thinks these guys are bitches and all, and he woulda laid down some asskick flooring free of charge, but the Grand Am was broken and he couldn’t get to the game, man.
(Multiple tips: Yost, Big Ten Tailgate.)

Just a petty comment/observation here:
Many of you reply to comments by number. Like, ‘hey #43″
Then later on the #s don’t seem to match what you are replying too. I could be wrong but I think some people’s posts are held up until approved by someone at EDSBS. When they get added in later, it throws the numbering off. So you may reply to #43, but later in the day, it may change to #44. I could be wrong though, just an observation over the past few months. Either that or all you drunks are replying to messages with one eye open and writing down the wrong #.
Perhaps reply to the name/number so if the numbering is off, people can still try to figure why post your pithy, humorous comment is in response to.

YouTube really is a great invention. Seeing that in video form is much “better” than any story could be.
I hate to see anyone treated like that, and I’m pretty sure that every fanbase has doucheboxes like the ones firing off beer rounds. I’m guessing the chill in the air kept the assailants from wearing Polos with popped collars.

I’m sorry, I can’t understand that level of fanaticism that would allow someone to think that a.) a projectile with the weight of beer can to be propelled at someone’s head is ok or b.) that encouraging such behavior is a good idea.
I think that everyone who was involved should be punished. If this occured outside of a sporting event and in someone’s backyard, there would have been charges. I don’t think this should just be condoned because it was game day.
This reflects poorly on those individuals and the Fraternatity in question (Pike). I wouldn’t hold it against PSU; I’m sure at any school with frats you would find degenerate trolls such as those in the video.
I personally detest fraternatities because I believe they foster a dangerous level of mob violence mentality that leads to very dumb and dangerous moments like this.
Remember, a mob is only as smart as it’s dumbest member. I believe that there is a great deal of competition for the title of biggest fool in that mosh pit of society’s dregs.

I’m all for giving the visiting fans hell verbally, but you don’t throw shit at people. I’ve never gotten that sort of treatment on my road trips to Michigan or Notre Dame – and I’ve been decked out in MSU colors for the occasion every time. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it at MSU either when visiting fans come around.

I’ve been to LSU games several times and I’ve never seen anything like that. In fact, SEC fans in general have a “rowdy” rep, but I’ve never seen more than good natured ribbing anywhere I’ve been (and i’ve been everywhere but Vandy).

I can understand brawls, fights, and skirmishes, but this shit is not cool. I’ve witnessed some bullshit among fans, but I have never seen anything that stoops to this low. As a fan of college football, it disgusts me to see a large body of students from a university all act out in such a rediculous manner. Stapler, I’ve walked with my team’s colors in some pretty shitty places in the SEC and got called all kinds of crap names, but it always ends up being good natured ribbing and a mutual respect for one another. Shit, at the end of an argument we might even shotgun a beer or two. This type of shit is straight hooliganism and I hope that these shits get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. NCAA atheltics should be about sportsmanship, honor, and most of all fun. Assholes like these give college students a bad name, football fans a bad name, and fraternity members a bad name. These assholes should get what’s coming to them. I can’t even say something mildly funny about this shit besides that those tOSU students run rather swiftly.

Let me get this straight, it’s not okay to wear the officially licensed jersey of your favorite team, but it’s okay to wear a long sleeve button down shirt, a tie, khaki shorts, and flip flops (and the requisite shaggy haircut to top it off)? And it’s okay to wear a prom dress and impractical high heels, but not a team jersey.

For the LSU folks:
I’m sure most of your fans are charming folks who cook lovely food and throw a great tailgate. LSU, however, remains the only place I can remember where the band had beer bottles thrown at them and were spit on from above while marching into the stadium. It’s the only place where we march in with the gals in the middle.
Every school has their asses. I just have more personal experience with the ones who happen to be wearing purple and gold, I guess because you guys don’t like us down there. I’m sure some Ole Miss fans will make fools of themselves in Oxford this year, too. It happens. We all have a few we’d like to send back.

A little late for me to show up in the discussion here, but I personally spent some time at several frats at Penn State last Saturday and each and everyone of them was acting responsibly. In fact, each of them had Ohio State fans in their houses and they were treated just as well as fellow Penn Staters and were given plenty of food and booze. Pikes do have a reputation for being douchebags here, so this plus my experience with Ohio State fans at other frats leads me to believe that this was an isolated incident, no widespread harassment.
As to someone who mentioned that there were two other frats sited for fighting this weekend…that’s a rather frequent occurrence and wasn’t necessarily involving Ohio State fans

No. This is never acceptable. Period.
When one sees someone with the opposing team’s jersey, the proper response is to give them some shit, then give them a beer. They must chug the beer. If they can’t chug it in ten seconds, repeat until they do.
Most PSU/OSU fans are cool. The fact that these douches are the outliers make it easy to make examples of them.
