The SEC is so good that they don’t even have to have a winning record against the Big Ten in head to head play in the last 10 years to be better. Jesus cries tears when SEC teams play, because it is so beautiful. They are so good that they transcend all logic and reason.

Stop the bullshit: the SEC is better than the Big Ten this year. That’s it. OSU has a weak nonconference schedule this year, so what? It doesn’t mean they aren’t a respectable team. Are they better than LSU? I kind of doubt it. They may not be better than Florida, either. But get off your high horse, this is ridiculous. Every time they’ve played someone from a BCS conference, everyone has said “this is the team that will beat them”, but they didn’t. OSU has won all of it’s games in convincing fashion, what more can they do? They DO schedule quality opponents (as evinced by the fact that they play USC, Miami, and Texas for home/home series), but for whatever reason, this year they have a piss poor schedule. Deal with it.

Does anyone gripe about the fact that LSU plays essentially every difficult game at home this year? No. Schedules are made in years advance, it’s not like there’s some grand conspiracy to cruise to a MNC.

They should seriously consider kicking the Big 10 (+1 + Notre Dame) out of D-1A. If the SEC ever had a year as bad as the Big 10 is having this year, I would quietly turn in my fan badge and never speak of this thing called “college football” again. Really, I can’t decide what’s more appalling: the play on the field, or the Big 10 fan’s lack of shame.

2006 -Clemson
2004 – WVU
2004 – Miami
2003- Miami
1995 – Texas

There may be more….but Im tired and dont wanna look. And yeah..they have lost quite a few of them, as well.

Washington was a serious opponent? The same Washington that’s 0-4 in the PAC-10?

Purdue was a serious opponent? The same Purdue team that not only hasn’t beaten a ranked team in recent memory, but hasn’t beaten a team that finished the season with a winning record (though that may end this year, as Eastern Illinois is 5-3 at this point.)

And Michigan State? You almost lost to them because of Michigan State’s defense. NO ONE loses to Michigan State because of their defense. Even Notre Dame scored 2 offensive touchdowns on them. Come on…

So Penn State is our first serious opponent? What happened to Washington, Purdue, and Michigan State being our first serious opponents? You jackasses say this crap every week.

That way, the reasoning must go, if we end up losing a game you SEC chumps can rag on us for “not being able to beat a serious team” while you’re off losing to each other like some kind of masochistic orgy and claiming that LSU is the greatest team in any sport, all time.

We already tried Crowton as OC. We went 1-10 that year (’94).

In any case, if Tenuta were the HC, I suspect he’d want a neanderthal-three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust offense. We need to win the time of possesion battle consistently in order for that defense to be really effective.

Just a side note on the game Thursday night, I believe VT has only beaten 1 AP top ten team ever, Miami in 2003. I think that is the only time they have ever beaten a top 10 team.

Good thing everyone didn’t just write off the SEC champion in 95 after Nebraska dropped 60+ on you guys…didn’t you guys win the NC in 96? Could history be getting ready to repeat itself? Could an Ohio State team who was destroyed in the NCG last year redeem itself the very next year like Florida did?

Of course you guys could at least show a little humility being that we gift-wrapped the NC for you guys in 1996 by upsetting ASU in the Rose Bowl. They beat us and they are the undefeated National Champs that year. You’re welcome motherfucker.
