For the sake of the Big 12 North, I sure as hell hope that Nebraska was paying attention when Oklahoma hit rock bottom. What does that mean? Cornuhuskerface, DO NOT HIRE AN ALUMN JUST “BECAUSE”. Hell, you already had John Blake on your staff for a few seasons. Let’s hope you learned your lesson. Write a blank check and hire the best AD you can buy. Then, leave him the hell alone and let him hire whoever he wants that isn’t named Callahan, Pellini, Buddy Ryan, or McMahon.

In my opinion, USF’s win at Auburn trumps Ohio State if they both go undefeated. It will also help if West F’in Virginia wins out, a definite possibility. OSU will have some decent wins (Michigan, PSU, Wisconsin) but nothing that stands out like WFVU or Auburn.

If USF wins out but gets passed over by a 1-loss team, that will be a crime against humanity. They probably won’t. Which is why the BCS yapping is so pointless right now. Win all your games from here out and see what happens.

My pick? 12-0 Ohio State vs. 12-1 LSU.

52- Callahan is bad, very bad, but John Blake bad? That’s like talking shit on someone’s mom. You just don’t do that. I’d expect that out of a texas or lsu fan, but nobody else. In any event, I don’t think that there is a Pelini to Stoops correlation. Rememeber, Pelini was at Oklahoma and wasn’t all that well liked. To be honest, most OU fans want Mike Stoops to be fired at Arizona and return to OU as the co defensive coordinator with Brent Venables. Now that I think of it, if I’m a Nebraska fan (and, at the moment, I’m very happy not to be) I’m hoping for a buyout of the asshat and to hire Venables. He’s a great defense guy and a phenomenal recruiter. That and he’s not so dumb, unlike your Billy. He’ll bring back the tradition of the redshirt program that was scaled back as well as bring back some variation of a running game out of the I. As much as I enjoy seeing a little bit of a Husker downfall, it’s bad for the Big 12 and (for OU and texas) it gets really dull playing the random Popcorn State team from the north for the title. So dull that sometimes OU or texas falls asleep to the point of losing the title game. Seriously, if you all (Nebraska) don’t get your shit together it’s going to be Dan psycho-Hawkins and the little 6. It’s the Big 12, it’s division one football. Act like it, Nebraska.

OSU has beaten one ranked team (Purdue, 23rd at the time now unranked) and might play one more (Michigan, currently 24th)

USF has beaten 2 ranked teams (Auburn, 17th at the time, now 17th) and WVA (was 5 now 9) and still plays Cincinnati (23rd).

LSU has beaten 3 top 20 teams (current BCS 6, 11, and 15), plays another on Saturday, might play another Nov 3, and may play in a conference championship game against a top 10 team…

If each team wins out, which team’s resume is LEAST impressive?

Yep, TAFKATOSU, Pac-10 waaaaaaay better than Big 10. See e.g., USC, Cal, ASU, UO, and do NOT fuck with the Harbaughs or Stroughters of the world: Their teams will exact vengeance upon you. Besides, beating one team with a .500 record and the only one at any point ranked is not the stuff of BCS high drama or a #1 record: It’s like Hawai’i…we should suspend disbelief and wait til they play someone with a pulse (in OSU’s case, likely a bowl game blowout and that lost puppy dog look we all so loved in Glendale).
