First of all, I never said that Ohio State should be 3rd or 6th, in fact, I said they weren’t yet a top 10 team because they have yet to beat someone (I think Washington was ranked 20th and it was on the road, but that really doesn’t count, right).

My point is that I’m trying to figure out how winning 58-7 and allowing 0 yards rushing moves down 4 spots and losing a home game to a lower ranked opponent who was less experienced at key positions and who was coming into the game with key injuries moves up 6 spots. That’s all.

And as to you concern about where Ohio State finishes out the season – we finished 2nd last season – where did your team finish? And do I really need to go into the 4-1 BCS record or the fact that we have beaten 4 conference champions in the last 10 years, 2 of which were undefeated, and one of which was the defending national champion on a 34 game win streak. And just to make sure we are tested every year, Ohio State has scheduled home and home series with the following schools over the next 10 years:

Southern Cal, Miami(FL), VT, Cal, and OU.

I know for the feeble-minded it is very easy to just assume that Ohio State sucks because Florida creamed us in the NCG – it’s a lot more work to look at it objectively and try and dissect it.

For my .02 the Pac 10 does it right. Everybody plays everybody and conference championship games are a dumb scam for extra money.

Can anybody tell me how a major conference can develop a schedule without having everyone playing one of the top two teams? Methinks a fourth grader could double check that…I mean Holy Competitive Imbalance, Batman!
