MUSTACHE WEDNESDAY: JOHN CHAVIS
Woefully behind on Wednesday, the worst of all days for real life meeting the blog. However, we’ll hand off the Mustache Wednesday ‘Stache of the day to John Chavis, whose defense was uncharacteristically charitable this past Saturday.
He gave. And gave and gave and gave.
The possessor of the Bulgarian Customs Inspector lipstripe gets two awards this week, really, with the Yakety Sax tribute fad spreading to the SEC. The UT/Florida game gets the treatment below, including wacky high-speed BennyHillVision for no extra cost.

Mark May should be a candidate for this next week. He looks terrible.

From Florida Today: http://forums.floridatoday.com/viewtopic.php?t=49889
Florida backup tight end Derek Baldry, who spent four years serving in the Army as a member of the 3rd Ranger Battalion and saw two tours of duty in the Middle East, told Florida Today that some of the Tennessee players gave up Florida’s 59-20 win last Saturday.
Baldry is on the UF field goal and extra-point team and he said late in the game one of the UT defenders told him not to bother to block him, that he was tired and wasn’t going to rush the kick.
When the ball was snapped, the defender stood up, rather than rush.
The incident is the talk of the Florida team, about how it wore down the Vols and made them give up.
“One of them on one of the extra-points decided not to rush,” Baldry said. “He said he was tired. It’s unbelievable to have a rivalry like that come into your stadium and after the first quarter basically dominate them.”
Baldry said seeing a UT player give up fired up the team.
“In the locker room, that’s all everbody was talking about,” Baldry said. “It just seemed like we were going at a different speed than they were, especially at the end.’
