HOT HOT HOT! APPALACHIAN STATE 34, MICHIGAN 32.
Screw Ohio State and Michigan. The Mountaineers should have gotten the title shot against Florida last season.

OK friends, since I brought you the Hot, Hot, Hot video I’ll close up this little circle of symmetry on the world beaters with the audio call from the App State radio crew.
Just in case you haven’t heard it anywhere else, go here and look a bit down the right side:

But do it in IE, it doesn’t seem to like Firefox.

Also, in the post game, App State’s Coach Jerry Moore notes that they’ve won two titles and this isn’t the most important victory.
“We’ve got two national championships behind this; certainly this is not bigger than that because we’ve won the ultimate prize in 1-AA football.”
Pwned! Michigan isn’t as big as D1-AA.

Fire Carr says:
I wish someday I can have the job security Lloyd Carr has. Honestly, what else can he do to be fired? This team embarrassed every aspect of my university yesterday. Bill Martin, Mary Sue Coleman, and most importantly Lloyd Carr should all be fired. This has been a hellish year for this university and especially this football team. Thank God I blacked out in my yard and was not able to make it to the game yesterday. I can assure you, drinking heavily is all I have to look forward to this season. Suicide is another option (not serious here).

Domer Guy – as an ND fan myself, here’s where I disagree: we knew ND was rebuilding this year and would be lucky to go 7-5 whereas Michigan was a BCS title contender. If you’re really that upset about the ND loss, your expectations must have been really out of whack.

Here’s a little love for Cal – I thought they were going to lose their shit in the third quarter and instead they stuck the boot in. Nice work by the Golden Bears.
I’m not making mock of Michigan partly because others have a running start, and also because I wouldn’t exactly characterize SC’s win over Idaho as, ah, dominating. Concerns about the WRs weren’t entirely misplaced, and the defense seems to have reset to last September in terms of getting to the QB. They’re going to have to do better than that if they want to be at the front of the Pac 10 never mind anything else.
At least the second string got some playing time.

Michigan losing to HHHSU is definitely worse than ND getting the altar boy treatment from Tech.
But, the Tech win makes me hate Reggie Ball even more for last year’s loss to ND.

Michigan Dave says:
When I was on the ledge last night I started thinking. Making that last second field goal could have covered up the cold, hard truth. Missing it? Well, this loss is rock bottom. Lloyd will now have to go to a 12 step group, admit he’s powerless over his addiction to predictable play calling, and turn to his higher power for help.
Now, I’m not saying that I’m gonna have anything sharp in the apartment for the next 24 hours. I don’t want to get cocky . . . but making that field goal would have allowed everyone to just sweep glaring problems under the rug. Having that sucker blocked might force reality on the Michigan coaching staff and things. might. just. change.
There’s one more upside in this tornado of pain. I looked in the mirror this morning and saw my abs. I looked kinda “ripped!” I’ve been retaining fluid . . . . and I cried out 10 pounds of hot, salty tears.

now that I’ve had some time to put this in perspective, many of the previous posters have a good point. App st IS a solid program, and UM DID play them tough, clearly, they deserve a rematch (unless USC finishes 12-0 then they should get to play em)

Though having Michigan and ND embarrassed in the same day helps prolong the buzz….

Ok, maybe that’s being greedy.

Domer Guy says:
Farva –
Before yesterday I thought ND would go 7-5 on the year. The thing is, I thought we would beat GT. My pessimistic side told me that we might lose to GT in a close one, say 24-21 or something. Never, ever did I think that we would go (essentially) scoreless, have the o-line look like it did, start a QB that can’t throw, and leave the defense on the field for entirely too much time.
My previous post was aimed more at my belief that a Michigan loss, no matter how bad, does not take the poo taste out of my mouth after an embarrassing ND performance (as I assumed it would last night). That being said, go Irish!

Yesterday makes the Michigan-Domer game in a couple of weeks horrific for the loser. And given that both UM and ND face tougher opponents next week it is quite easy to visualize both schools going into that game 0-2.
The Pac 10 had a good weekend thanks to Cal and Washington and USC didn’t choke. The Trojans didn’t have the ideal intensity, but they started the game in excellent form and were able to turn it back on in the third quarter while the guys in the two-deep were still playing.
Stafon Johnson looks like the player he was supposed to be coming out of HS and CJ Gable looked as good. Joe McKnight showed that he will become an impact player soon and Stanley Havili’s hudlie over a defender was the sort of move any team would love to see from a tailback, let alone a FB

Has this loss really sank in? UM has just looked into the Ark from that Indiana Jones movie. This is a loss that will be told to children for decades.
It doesn’t matter how good App State is. It doesn’t matter that ND got waxed. It doesn’t matter that Cal beat UcheaT. We have witnessed something that has never happened before. It may never happen again.
This loss will never be forgotten. We should all be proud to have lived to see this.

Way to represent Michigan! All these doucebags talking about Carr deserves to go out on top, he deserves a shot at another NC…blah blah fucking blah. You stupid fucks just made the big 10 the joke of college football.
These stupid people who get to vote, at least Henne will be gone after this year and the rest of us won’t have to hear about how great of a QB he is – under 50% 1INT against a subdivision school, that retard was/is a 4 year starter at Michigan.
Defense? Give me a fucking break, Ron English Michigan’s new HC? I pray so. #5 in the country – and why? Because you have a slow, disrespectful piece of shit RB – a 4 yr. starting QB who wouldn’t be able to convince a bunch of 5 year olds to follow his lead and a tackle returning you deserve top 5 in the nation.
On behalf of the Big 10 – go fuck yourself.

AZ…understandable, but doesn’t mean I can’t rant about them. They never, EVER deserved to be ranked 5th in the nation – the only reason they were is because of their name ‘brand’. If anyone took an unbiased look at Michigan and their shit QB, and what they have returning they would have been ranked in the 12-15 range. Instead they get crowned the best team in the big ten, even if fans of other big ten teams knew it wasn’t the cause – and make us look like complete shit the opening week.

Thanks Orson for this wonderful video. Yet you failed to point out how this masterpiece impacted the game in the “Big Hootch”. I did a little research and found out that the Appalachian State sent this little video gem to the Maize and Blue coaches in lieu of game films. Then Lloyd Carr and his band of Merry Michigan Men watched it and their brains became so numbed that they never recovered……………………..”Hot, Hot, Hot”, indeed……….Ugh!
Therefore, under the circumstances Meechigan does indeed deserve a rematch…………….with ASU.
Now excuse me while I go drink a bottle of Tabasco sauce in honor of “Hot, Hot, Hot”. Omigod, what did I just say?

Because it came to me yesterday like a mesage from God. In talking to my buddy I thought, what on earth as the Michigan coach would I do to make sure the Wolverines understand how embarrased the coaching staff, alumni, students, fans, faculty, conference are. I keep them focused by PULLING THE FUCKING WINGS OFF OF THE HELMETS. Keep ‘em off until they show me otherwise. The names however have to stay on but be in even BIGGER font so all of tv land knows who the underperforming players are. But i’m not the head coach. So it won’t happen. Imagine that shit though….abusive but effective.
Finally the fans can communicate their displeasure with the team, university, AD, president…by not going to the next game. This is America, there is a choice and as paying customers have control over what kind of shit we watch. Imagine the revenue lost in concessions alone. Money talks. But you can’t educate the general public either that won’t happen. Good ideas though…really good ideas.
1) take the wings off of the helmets until further notice
2) no one show up for the next game(s)…to tell the admnistration that shit is completey fucking unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
3) fire the AD and the entire staff after the conclusion of the season.
4) Hire Patterson from Boise St and live a long and prosperous life as a Wolverine fan.
5) I talked to my Dad yesterday long distance (he’s a tOSU fan) he told me I could always jump ship and go with a winner. He said, write a letter to the AD and threaten to change alliances to tOSU…
this will never go away and it’s much worse than I thought….

As much as I wish to pile on what’s left of the Twig House, I can’t crow too much. after all, UM still has “most favored nation” status with any and all Adidas collegiate contracts.
Also, the Miami Dolphins still have the entire Ginn family and you don’t!
The next time any of you Dawgs decide to throw a punch, at least KO the sumbitch you hit. Pussy.
Tell me again why Jon Tenuta isn’t the “next big thing” but Ron English is.
If I am a UM ballplayer and I’m being lectured by coach Cry, er I mean, Carr, about “manning up” and toughness and all, I’ll wonder why Carr was such a coward in not being able to take questions from a homer sideline dweeb.
BTN = Big Tits Network, in Llllloyd’s honor.

#172, it doesn’t matter where Michigan was ranked. They’re fucking Michigan. They lost to App State – and most CFB fans don’t even know what State App State is in, nevermind city.
A big-name 1A school should never lose to 1AA schools. Hell, even Medium-Name 1A schools fire coaches after losses to 1AA schools (Hello, Frank Broyles).
However, the bright side is that The Big Ten (can’t count) network will make more money selling the rights to that game than they could’ve ever imagined.

Michigan got edged by a good team.
Notre Dame got blown out by a good team.
The ND tradition of wrapping arms around each other and swaying to and fro as you sing the alma mater is…..well……gay. Especially after a performance like that. The players should have been at the gates handing people their admission money back.
Oh yeah. Clausen looks gayer than ever.
