DAILY AFFIRMATION: DAY 4/ MUSTACHE WEDNESDAY

We bring you two great tastes that taste together: hope and mustaches. Not that Pitt fans display a lot of hope these days: they're having such difficulty selling season tickets that if you purchase one full slate of seven games for $120, you can get a second set for just ten dollars. IT'S JUST THAT EASY!!! One operator named Dave Wannstedt standing by, drumming his fingers and looking for a new recruit to replace Pat Bostic and keep himself from telling trippy ghost stories about Ricky Williams to blue-chip qbs.

Happy Mustache Wednesday, motherfuckers!

Wannstedt…where’d you get $130 worth of pudding?

“Holy Shit, why are we lined up in FG Block on second down?!! Quick, call time ou…aw DAMMIT!”

by PW on Aug 8, 2007 11:11 AM EDT reply actions

We’re quite serious. Wannstedt does this at least twice a game.

IO,
Shhhh. Don’t worry your pretty little head about it.

“You guys look like you could use some RAM.”

Your pals,
Graig Cooper and Javarris James.

Cheer on fans of Friday, Mustache Affirmations clearly set a precedent for something even bigger at the end of the week.

What, a girl from Paraguay with a Fu Manchu?

Funny thing about Wannstedt, Pitt was getting their asses kicked at halftime and Wanny was corralled by the ESPN sideline reporter. When asked what Pitt needed to do in the second half, he said, “Well, we just need to run faster.”

Yes, good luck with that.

Wanny really is Mr. Delayed Reaction. It’s like his whole world runs about 3 seconds behind yours and mine.

now if only [Name Redacted] would grow a mustache…

by Troy in Columbus on Aug 8, 2007 12:11 PM EDT reply actions

In other news, I suck and will sit the next few plays out.

by chilltown on Aug 8, 2007 12:15 PM EDT reply actions

No, you are definitely suspended indefinitely as well. Why?

1.) Threadjack of a topic that had a post all of it’s own (comment similar to yours included, only funnier, from jebus)

2.) Pointing out this error of your own before I had the pleasure of doing so.

But guess where the fu manchu is …

The Wannstache can sense the ripples in the time-space continuum. He is tuned into the energy of the Pitt Community and when the energy weakens, he gets startled, but by then its just barely too late. Sometimes the same shit happens to crack heads, I hear.

Chilltown—who, me? We can do without our leading rusher while we’re rebuilding our run game! Sure! No problem! hic

by Holly on Aug 8, 2007 1:02 PM EDT reply actions

“Holy shit! we don’t have a QB lined up out there!”

by blazin on Aug 8, 2007 1:20 PM EDT reply actions

You’d think charging $120 per 7 game season ticket would be embarrassment enough?!?!

by mhentz on Aug 8, 2007 1:47 PM EDT reply actions

Someone should tell Pat Bostick that this is Division I football. This ain’t intramurals brutha.

by Max Fischer on Aug 8, 2007 2:43 PM EDT reply actions

Today’s affirmation statement couldn’t be more true – I can’t wait for the Rutgers-Pitt game in Piscataway this coming season. The Wannstache will point more than a sign in that one.

Hey, you think Wannstache coaches like he’s playing NCAA or something? “OK, we’re at the line, we’re going to throw a hot route to our…what? It’s a full back dive on 3rd and 9? Nooo!”

by John F on Aug 8, 2007 3:29 PM EDT reply actions

Even [name redacted] feels pity for the Wannstache.

Remember the Pitt-O(hio)U game in ’05?

by Jorgé the Bass Player on Aug 8, 2007 8:30 PM EDT reply actions

Holy, shit, I had a bizarre dream about the Wannstache Wednesday night…and he appears in EDSBS THAT SAME DAY. I can’t wait for this season to start.
