60,

Seriously, being a transplant doesn't give you street cred to judge a rivalry. Move to Jackson, Miss and you won't give two sh_ts about their rivalry either. A transplant says that UGAy v Ga Yech is not a rivalry. Oh the irony. You are the reason traffic sucks and old Atlanta now means "I moved her before the Olympics."
Wait, why would anyone move to Jackson?

#40 The Peanut Patch in Courtland, VA carries a UVA/vt flag for way less than $65.00--a neighbor has one. Another good use might be for different undergrad/grad/professional attendees.

Pitt-WVU is more important to people in northern wv who tend to think of Pittsburgh as being the closest big city. In southern or eastern wv, people don't really hate Pitt or anything, they are just kind of an irrelevant school with no fanbase. VT-WVU was much better and more heated.

#18:

The WVU - Pitt Backyard Brawl has always been a great rivalry, but often of little importance and gaining only marginal national coverage.

The WVU - Va Tech rivalry, for the "Black Diamond Trophy", has been a bit more important and harsher (esp. with unruly fans) over the past decade, and usually had post-season implications (recall the 2003 game - WVU 28, refs 7 - when Va Tech was ranked 3rd).

Now, with Va Tech in the ACC, the WVU - Louisville rivalry is picking up. Both programs are solid, and the game has the potential to have national championship implications. If I recall correctly, last year's game was the second most watched college game in ESPN history (behind the previous year's FSU-Miami game). This year will likely have a similar draw. The WVU - Pitt game, on the other hand, will merely be an ego booster for Mountaineer fans, and Heisman footage for Steve Slaton.

Guarantee #81 is a MU fan. See my #61 post. Not only does she fail to notice that at least 2 previous posts mentioned WVU/MU, she also wants you to believe that a series that began with a 42-10 shellacking of MU is a rivalry.

Re: 87

So sorry, it wasn't The Locker Room, it was Let's Tailgate (just down Central Street from Dyche-Stadium-I-Mean-Ryan-Field and The Locker Room), which runs Northwestern's official online store. I bet they have an exclusive license.

See <a href="http://store.fansonly.com/marketplace/store.cfm?dept_id=4517&store_id=176" rel="nofollow">NU Flags and Pennants</a> for the Northwestern "divided" flags.

69 & 71:

Actually, I have seen Northwestern/Illinois, Northwestern/Minnesota (and, I think, Northwestern/Michigan and Northwestern/Notre Dame) 'A House Divided' flags at The Locker Room in Evanston the last couple of autumns. I'm surprised they're not on the list--maybe NU said 'no' on the licensing going forward, but I'm not sure why they would've done that.
