D-MAC’S RIDE MAKES THE HATERS COME OUT
Darren McFadden is Humanity Advanced, so we are not surprised to find the Arkansas Razorback RB demands that his automobile reflect the dedication of someone bound and determined to stretch the limits of engineering.
Or failing that, at least McFadden will squeeze every ounce of recoverable pimp juice from the humble frame of what appears to be a Ford Taurus. Correction: commenters leaning towards Crown Vic, which is even better.
Presenting: Midsize American Sedan-ity Advanced. (HT: Stephen)

I will be paying for a new vanity plate in excess bicep muscle, sir.

Looks more like a Ford Crown Victoria. Not positive though. Still, tell me that these supposedly poor college football players aren’t receiving kick backs if they are driving around shit like this. Maybe this is what caused the Razorbacks RB coach to have his brain stem start bleeding again and force him to quit.

Why are these pictures listed as being taken in 1999? Bad date setting on the photgraphers part, or has really been there that long?

Yup, it’s a Crown Victoria, ‘95-’97 vintage.
I’m gonna need confirmation on the rims — are those 24″s?

Now I know dates on cameras are usually off, but 8 years off? According to the picture date, it was taken back in April of 99. D Mac was huge for being 12 or 13, heh.

I thought they were 22″s but why was the picture taken in ‘99? Is D-Mac in med school?

It’s an early 90s Crown Vic. You can get a clean one for under $5000 even in the DC area, which would leave plenty of budget for a respray, lift set, 30 inch rims (at least!), and a sound system.
Presumably the university will pick up the medical fees when physics bites his ass while he’s going round a corner too fast.

For you educated individuals, those pictures are precisely the reason the term “tump” is used in the South and may be in the 08 Webster’s dictionary. As in, “Ohhhhh SNAP, that dude’s shit just tumped over.”
On another note, physics coupled with geometry say that will not work long.

bama had a linebacker in the late 90’s name aries monroe who cruised t-town in a crown vic almost exactly like that. not sure if 22’s had really hit the market at that point yet, but he had some crazy fucking exhaust system that you could hear him way before you saw him. maybe d-mac bought if off aries??

well from http://www.car-rims.com, those look like akuza bounce chrome 292s, and a set of four cost $1330. then you have the suspension costs of raising the car to sit on that thing. A ford crown vic isn’t light, and a suspension to hold that up will be costly. Then he probably has some expensive tires. you are looking at a substantial amount of money put into that car DC. the 5k you say that car can be picked up for is probably low cost for the rest of the upgrades.

They look like 22’s, though I’ve seen some Crown Vics rocking 24’s(it’s difficult but doable). I don’t think they are Akuza 292’s because the 292’s are 6-lugs and McFadden’s are 5-lugs.
Why is he sporting the Crown Vic anyway? Everyone knows that true pimps and playas roll Caprices, Impalas or ‘Lacs.

My point exactly. Apparently these crazy kids start with the $15k of aftermarket goods and then fit the car to the remaining budget. There’s some kind of analogy there to Houston Nutt’s coaching, I think.
the Crown Vic is strictly for pimpalicious cruising. If Humanity Advanced wants to get somewhere fast, he’ll just run.
It’s also good for running over people rather than kicking them… gots to keep the toe intact for this season.
