NCAA 2008 TEASERS: NOEL DEVINE GOES REAL FAST
People are already posting their teaser clips of NCAA 2008. This one features the tres cool new replay feature, where you may save highlights that you can revisit on the flatscreens hanging in your virtual locker room.
Oh, and Noel Devine? We don't know his speed rating, but judging from this it's somewhere between 93 and "HOLY SMOKING HELL."

Im sure he looked fast against directional Michigan, directional Carolina and Uconn. I just went and bought my copy at ToysRUs. It was me and a six year old in line.

Judging by that classless little display of acrobatics at the end of the return, I’d say his Sportsmanship rating is around 50.

Hold on, let me check for ya…
…84ovr, 89spd, 92acc. Not all that great, but they could be using a roster that’s been tweaked.
Steve Slaton, however is posied to do a lot of meowing.
96ovr, 96spd, 98acc.
Oh yeah, McFadden is the highest rated player, and Percy Fuckin’ Harvin is the fastest.

you people are killing me I do’nt get out of work until 5 at the earliest.

Yes, PW (#3), but his Tumbling rating is at least 85. That’s a fine dive into a somersault right there at the end.

You can actually upload these clips to the internet thru the 360. Either the coolest way to shit talk or the dorkiest way to shit talk.

Goddamn I can’t wait. I wonder if there is a way I could put a mop in my cubicle and let it pass as me. Its not tax season, I should be able to leave whenever I want to right? FIVE O CLOCK, HURRY UP

If you think that’s good, when you play the game, initiate a little tebow/harvin option. its orgasmic. Also, all the Gators receivers that start are 93 speed or above.

Also, apparently Noel isn’t that smart. Doesn’t he remember Peterson doing that and breaking his collarbone, or Santinio Holmes doing that against UM that drew a celebration penalty and coulda screwed OSU in 05.
by bhors on Jul 17, 2007 1:17 PM EDT reply actions
Santonio didn’t do a flip, he dove, and it was a bogus call anyway. In the stadium, they announced it as being on Ginn.
I was 8 rows up in that end zone and had to call and ask my dad what the hell the penalty was.

#10:
Yeah, the Gators playbook is amazing. The triple option returns, and those PA passes are pretty effective.

Goddammit, virtual Deion Sanders is not teaching virtual Noel Devine the finer aspects of proper sportsmanship and the dignity of the game.

OMG stop it. I need to go buy it now then look at it until 5. I will be back.

Thank god I’m not the only one in the 5OCLOCKHURRYHURRYHURRYDAMMITHURRY camp. It was bad enough going on message boards and reading reports from people who had found stores selling it early. Now knowing that even my sorry ass could walk in and buy it and play till the cows come home (or at least my 2 year old toddler) while I’m stuck at work….anybody wanna give me a compelling reason not to suddenly fake a cough at my desk?

I went and bought this at lunch and now it’s sitting in my car taunting me. I hear it’s siren call. But noooooo, someone has to waste time in his cubicle for another three hours.
MUST. RUN. WILDCAT.

I just got a copy of the game and boy am I not that good. Tried out a game on All-American with Rutgers vs. UConn (apparently, that is a rivalry) and I lost 20-5. Good thing I didn’t register for that EDSBS league, I’d get e-owned e-hard.
But that video highlight feature is awesome. Sure I threw 5 picks and lost to UConn of all teams; but that safety was too sweet to be sour.

How does it taste Odell? I imagine that it’s quite delicious. I think I may go sit out in my car and snuggle with it for a little bit.

Is it gay to compile Wildcat plays from ’08 for a “Boner Jams 2008”?

Somewhat unrelated, but Danny Nutt, HB Coach, has resigned for “health reasons”.

@5 – yeah, wtf is up with the bench that can even get excited at a play like that. I bet virtual West By God fans don’t even burn couches either.
By the way – anyone click on the “Fun quiz for fun moms” link? If it was “fun quiz for fun milfs” it would be more interesting, NSFW, but loads more interesting I’m sure.

considering Danny Nutt has had serious health issues (of the cancerous variety) for most of the past decade you can take the quotation marks away from your statement

1000 cocktails to the first one who can push just the right sequence and speed on the buttons to make your favorite player act out his Fulmer Cup shinanigans. (oh!? you did’nt know about that new feature….did you?)

“He ran a what? Yeah, I told you he could really go…"
This could reach Bo Jackson-Temco Bowl levels of absurdity.

I’m from Fayetteville and am familiar with Danny’s battle with cancer and other health battles. I was just lifting a quote from the article, not trying to insinuate this wasn’t true. If you read the article, it’s quite obvious he’s leaving under the care of a physician. I’ll try to be more careful with my quotation marks next time. Sorry.
by Kenny Irons midget on Jul 17, 2007 3:17 PM EDT reply actions
I apologize for that KIM, but it’s hard not to be a little jumpy sometimes with all the craziness that hassurrounded that program for the past several months. I’ve already seen on an Arkanas board or two people trying to claim the “health issues” are a cover-up. Sickening. I had read the article and was hoping you were just using a quote, but one can never be sure in the age of the interwebs.

10000 hangovers to the guys at EA who decided not to release 08 on the wii

NDTom,
to make matters worse, my Gamestop had a “RESERVE NOW” box for NCAA 2008 in the Wii section for the longest time.

Is it okay that I’ve only played about five games of last year’s version? I can’t possibly justify buying the new model until I’ve built Temple up to a .500 team, can I?
Also, my Xbox Live gamertag is “resinwich”. Law degree, MBA, and Xbox Live gamertag. That’s me.
