FRIDAY CHEESECAKE: RETURN OF THE BUNDA
We've deviated from what made Friday Cheesecake great: bunda. You like the bunda, we like the bunda...the whole world loves the bunda.
We return in force with a fresh crop this week, especially necessary for Stranko since he did attend a Morissey concert last night, and likely needs a dose of raw heterosexuality to counterbalance the bi/curious vibe from the show.
First, Ms. Reef, whoever that is:

And second, bunda that's work-safe, but likely not work advisable after the jump.

Bunda, and...

More bunda.

ooooooohhh.
I am normally a frontcourt kinda guy. But those are nice backcourts.

The crowd was surprisingly young and straight…which was nice.

i feel stranko’s pain. i went to a fray concert last night (don’t judge me….my girlfriend was given free tix at 3pm)…..nothing but 16 year old girls and homos. so thank you for this.

wow, that first pic made it tingle a little, and hardcore porn barely does that!

Is it just me or did a cheesecake post just disappear?

dude, these locationless cheescake are really a pain in my map-constructing ass. that said….
EDSBS Cheesecake GoogleMap now updated.
(i put her in Panama City, Beach because… well, just because. anyone have a better idea where to place her blue teardrop on the map please let me know.)

Who’s That Girl?
Regarding the first picture, is that Ms. Ana Paula, Miss Reef Brasil?

SKLM – while I hate to say it… nicely done.
For Cheesecake (and especially Bunda Cake)… I’ll put ‘SC hatin’ aside.

See, I was pleased with bunda but more bunda, well that just knocked my socks off so hard that they traveled around the world and landed right next to my now-bare feet.

Stranko,
Was the Morrissey populated with young Latinos? Word is he and the earlier Smiths catalog are enjoying a resurgence among that community…don’t ask me why…ask Chuck Klosterman.

The Fray?
They should change the name of that song to “how to suck a dick”

Minus points for anyone even knowing what The Fray is. I’m not even going to Google it for fear of HR suspecting that I’ll be in to sign up a “domestic partner” for benefits soon.

OOC – Everyone knows who the fray is, because they do’nt stop playing the “over my head” and “save a life” songs on the radio. for two years running.

Muito bom bundas, Swindilinho, muito bom bundas.
Y SKLM tambien, obrigado.
I too have been to a The Fray concert. Even worse, I drove up to Sacramento for it. However, I had never heard a song of their before the concert, and I have never listened to them since. The hot girl I went with was in love with them, and they sucked- hard. They were totally outperformed by their opening band, whom I think was called Augustana or something like that. But my feigned interest was rewarded, so I can’t say it was a terrible experience.
But yeah, they are fucking terrible.
Feliz fin de semana chicos y chicas!

Not ringing any bells, sorry. Looks like avoiding dire DC radio and checking the Q reviews once a fiscal quarter actually has an upside to offset the severe old-fartness of life.

I go to the surf expo in orlando every year, and, man, the Reef girls are freakin’ top drawer. Every one, every time. +10 to you for the pic. You have redeemed yourself from last week.

That reef girl ass is so juicy, it might give Sir Mix Alot a little trouble.
by shovel pass on Jul 13, 2007 1:38 PM EDT reply actions
I believe that the top pic is of Sunessis Brito, Miss Reef Brazil.
I’ve spent many years “analyzing” the Reef Girls in surf mags. Unfortunately, I rarely see girls of their caliber when I’m actually out surfing. Though, when South Beach lights up there’s usually some eyecandy to compliment the waves.

#13….that link was pretty good….lots of bunda there.
I was little disappointed with the lack of Bunda that last few weeks…and where the fuck was Mustached Wednesday….I just shaved my beard into a Fu Man, and I was going to sumbit it

Wooderson – well, I googled both of those songs on youtube. Sure the office turd burglar may stop by any second now to tell me about a dream of his that I was in, but I googled it and nope I’ve never heard of them or those songs before. Sorry – must not listen to the same types of radio stations you do.

BDoc –
I was fortunate enough to live in Hawaii for 3 years. I have 4 words for you:
Brazilian Professional Female Bodyboarders.
Picture this: they already have a postier that rivals any work of art. Then, throw in the fact that all they do all day is lay prone, arch their back, and kick with their legs.
Sing it with me: “Heaven is a place on earrrrrrrr-th”

please understand…i’m not defending my attendance (again free and with the girlfriend for the record), but i’m shocked at the attention given to the fray (who obviously sucked in way that no other concert i’ve ever been to sucked) while fucking morrisey skates. really? morrisey?
by gerry dorsey on Jul 13, 2007 2:25 PM EDT reply actions
well, being a good surfer isn’t synonymous with being hot, BDoc. peru’s own sofia mulanovich certainly will never be cheescake material but she’s a former world champion and you only wish you could surf a tenth as well as she does on her worst day of the year. and yes, she has been a “”http://accel17.mettre-put-idata.over-blog.com/0/01/00/81/stuff-surf/reef-sofia.jpg" rel="nofollow">reef girl" as well.

MMM. Nice bunda.
And I still love Morrissey.
FYI – I head there is a Cure concert tour soon.
I am terrified to see the people who I will be attending with.
30ish people in full goth mode should be interesting.

I HATE that this thread led me along a path which ended in me learning the name of the band responsible for “How to Save a Life,” the worst song since… I don’t know, what’s the last thing Usher did? Fuck you, The Fray! F-U-C-K U!
by NashVegas on Jul 13, 2007 4:04 PM EDT reply actions
Scalz, that female bodyboarder heaven sounds like my kind of place.Sadly, I’ve only made it out to Hawaii once, but there were quite a few Reef-esque ladies out and about.
Kleph, you’re right that there are quite a few women surfers who rip, but aren’t all that hot. Though, ones like Malia Jones who are cute and surf well is always a plus. And there’s a chance I could surf 1/10 as good as Sofia on her worst day. However, it probably falls between the chances of [name redacted] winning an NC and ND winning a BCS bowl. Actually, my chances are probably better than either of those.
by BDoc on Jul 13, 2007 4:35 PM EDT reply actions
didn’t mean to be critical of your skillz, my man. just emphazing the awesomeness of mulanovich. i have to say, having seen her do her stuff, she can surf like the bejesus.
she’s actually has a kind of stocky build which, i assume – since i do not surf – is to her advantage since it gives her a lower center of gravity.

???!!!!! Dept:
- 28 – Wooderson: Like most on this thread I had not heard of Fray. I also YouTubed both Fray songs. One sounds vaguely familiar. But, I think Fray’s fans are mostly guys that never played sports and pee sitting down, if you know what I mean.
EDSBS’ers are mostly White Stripes, AC-DC, Spice Girls and Lynard Skynard type music fans. (kidding, on the Spice Girls.) Actually, it would probably be a good idea, in these dog days of the college football offseason to vote on the top band of EDSBS.
I will go listen to some Gwar to change the palate from the Frays that was just listened to….

After getting that Fray crap inside my skull, I’ve had to balance it out with OutKast’s ’B.O.B.".
I used to be schizophrenic, but we’re ok now.

SKLM – great idea. Maybe a field with each conference selecting a champion, and then putting a BCS type matchup together.
I’d like to see how Molly Hatchet does against ABBA.
by Southern Papa on Jul 13, 2007 5:01 PM EDT reply actions
kleph, no problem. Besides, you’re right that Mulanovich rips. She’s currently ranked 3rd on the women’s tour. Silvana Lima has a similar build, and she surfs pretty damn good too. She’s right behind Sofia at #4.

and if you surf, you should get down here next winter. between november and february peru has some of the best surfing anywhere. this little spot is considered superb and it’s almost completely unknown to outsiders. and, if that weren’t enough, new years in mancora is a full on frickin party. unbelievable brazilan quality bunda everywhere.

Band Battles Dept:
#47, S.P.: Being a USC fan, I would nominate the following bands from Los Angeles to represent the Pac 10:
1) Van Halen (I prefer David Lee Roth as lead singer, though Sammy Hagar is pretty good too.)
2) Metallica (Lead singer is from LA area.)
3) The Eagles (A bit long of tooth, but who cares)
4) Cypress Hill (Insane in the Brain!)

dude, my SoCal band short list will destroy that lame ass lineup you offered – Black Flag, X, Bad Religion, the Minutemen, Fear, the Blasters, Jane’s Addiction and the Dickies.
dammit, i’m gonna have to go put on my Repo Man soundrack to get the idea of the vomitus those limp-wristed bands you mentioned call “rock” out of my head. it’s times like this i fear that darby crash diedfor nothing.

Kleph:
Dude: you are lucky I kept out the Bangles (the SF Valley), Gwen Stefanni (The OC) and David Hassellhoff (Parts Unknown) – Now that would be a real murderers row of LA music types.

kleph, you’re right about that spot in Peru. I checked out some photos online of Cabo Blanco and that place goes off. Perfect peeling lefts that are money for a goofy foot like myself. Wow, I’ll have to add that to my list of surf destinations I have to visit someday.

if you come, you gotta get to pacasmayo and chicama, two of the longest left-handed breaks in the world.

Kleph @ 53, New York’s all right if you like saxophones, and it also has buildings tall enough to be worth throwing myself off if I ever again hear the soul-destroying gurgling wails of geriatric “punk” Exene Cervenka.
Do. Not. Want.
I saw a documentary on the Minutemen a few weeks ago and my first reaction was “who the hell is the skinny old guy driving the van around?” Turns out that Mike Watt’s lost a few pounds since I saw firehose in the early 90s.
What about Suicidal Tendencies for the list? Their first album, anyway.
by DC Trojan on Jul 14, 2007 1:11 AM EDT reply actions
perhaps. but i still say that x’s “los angeles” has more authenticity and flat-out power than anything ever puked up by the van halen brothers.
by kleph on Jul 14, 2007 8:54 AM EDT reply actions
I’ve actually heard of Chicama(supposed to be the longest left in the world). No doubt that Peru has some sick breaks. Maybe I can talk my buddy into heading down that way when we make it out west to surf Abreojos(Mexico) hopefully in the somewhat near future.

Los Angeles: "x’ vs. Van Halen Dept:
x is a little niche band, who quietly went into oblivion and right now could not sell out the Roxy,
while,
Van Halen is in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
It is like comparing USC’s football team to Caltech.
by Stacy Keibler Luvs Me on Jul 16, 2007 10:32 AM EDT reply actions
Kleph, we can’t believe we’re siding with SKLM here, but: we adore Van Halen (Diamond Dave iteration only,) while X occupies but a small corner of our heart for the song “White Girl.”
by Orson Swindle on Jul 16, 2007 10:34 AM EDT reply actions
being in the rock and roll hall of fame is like winning the best picture oscar. gonna tell me with straight face that ‘rocky’ was better than ‘taxi driver’ or that ‘dances with wolves’ is superior to ‘goodfellas’?
van halen is watered down frat-boy rock. nothing more, nothing less. you’re much better off throwing away everything you own by them and buying a greatest hits album of the who – which is where they stole it all from in the first place.
x, on the other hand, is admittedly a niche or cult band but have the benifit of being incredibly creative and dramatically influential to boot. rock and roll hall of commercialy successful so we feel obligated to kiss your rapidly-aging and wrinkly ass one more time in order to cash in on what vestiges of your fame still remains.
bottom line, i’ll take the straight forward rock-and-roll of ‘johnny hit and run pauline’ to any of the faux posturings of david lee roth during his look-at-that-i-once-had-hair phase.

Rock on Dude,
Kleph Repsonse Dept:
The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is like the polls in College Football. We all find all sorts of faults with it, but what else is there to assess excellence in music and football? The Grannies, I mean Grammys? gimme a break.
Sure, I’d rank the Who ahead of Van Halen, and a bunch of other bands too. But, we are talking about a battle of LA bands.
Van Halen, frat boy band? Gimme a break, part 2. Eddie is a legit world class guitar player and David “Have you seen junior’s grades” Roth can rock like a #!, even half bald and fired and fried numerous times.
“x” is ok, not comparable to Taxi Driver, if VH were Rocky. "x’ would most likely be “Welcome to the Doll House” to VH’s Rocky, a movie of critical acclaim, but really liked by just a limited number of people.
Whereas, VH is critically acclaimed and sold so many records, Eddie’s ex-wife tried to eat the profits.
