GRACE, ELEGANCE…THE TACKLE ELIGIBLE.
Meat on the hoof on the move! For all the big boys out there, your five seconds of glory: the tackle eligible, executed to perfection here by Colorado’s Sam “Lightnin’” Wilder.
Even Musburger couldnt’ work up the nerve to say “If he breaks that tackle…”, a sentence only appropriately completed with “he goes another two yards and collapses due to a pulmonary embolism.”

Kind of hard to tackle a guy that big. His fatal error was trying to hurdle someone lying prostrate on the ground. He just couldn’t clear him with that sub one-foot vertical.

Fatso Dept (Sports and Politics):
Have not seen a fat guy move that gracefully since Shaq O’Neil a few weeks ago…..
To mix in political commentary: Have not seen a move that fast since Hillary and her fat ankles switched their position on the Iraq war recently.
Hmmmm…..it is possible to interchange politics and sports rants quite easily….

I’ll bet that kid played tight end in high school.
Golly, just the sounds of the crowd and the look of the field with the fall afternoon sun streaming down…
I can’t wait until September. Is tomorrow September?

PSU Girl: Like your optimism. I am 93 or so days from the first USC Trojans football game and cannot wait. But to me, it still seems eons away, with the Endless Summer type baseball season only going on for the forseeable future.

SKLM - you really need to use “Rovian” to more masterfully pull off the segue.

I really feel you should have used the video there of Andre Smith running in for a TD in the bowl game this year against Ok. St.

In high shool we actually tried out a guard eligible play in practice. Didn’t work so well because unfortunately I was the eligible guard. And I catch like a guard.

#6: I’m sure you’re very good at EDSBS criticism and sports analysis, respectively. But please leave Orsonian punditry to the pros. I offer this advice for your own good.
(god i’m so sorry and i feel so dirty)

That looked like a forward pass to me. I thought the throw had to backwards (lateral) for an Oliner to be elligible.
Someone please enlighten me.

#6, I concur with #10. There is only one master, and it/he* is Orson. (*not sure of the proper grammatical structure)
But since it is Friday and I have been led to believe there shall be a cheesecake, is there a possibility, Orson, that I may be granted my long sought UGA cheesecake? I might even know her. Just one and I’ll never ask again, honest. And while I’m at it, Stranko, can you help me out here? My sincerest thanks in advance, and may your Friday be most glorious…

I don’t exactly get why that play is blogworthy…but I offer my own scalding hit in response.

Wait…I just read the title of the post, and rewatched the play. I get it now. It’s hard to realize what happens with grainy video and no sound.

# 10 and #12, I think OOC was referring to SKLM’s comment in #2, not anything Orson wrote.
Orson is beyond reproach (now that he’s dried out from the weekend).

Thank you, SunDawg.
I’d never dig on Orson- except for not hanging on to Jarvis Moss’s ankles during a certain field goal attempt last season.
I was giving Orson props for his prior Rovian article and saw a good opportunity when SKLM made the aside of whether he can mix in politics with his sports comment. I thought the “SKLM” to lead off my comment made that clear, sorry OPS and SB for giving you too much credit.

#15, I agree, and as #10 stated, #6’s comments were not at an Orsonian level, not that they were “of Orson”…
That, however, does not diminish the exceptional contributions of sklm and OOC, who regularly provide valid commentary on any topic deposited herein… on this occasion their punditry enabled #10 and me to throw in an entertaining (at least to me) opportunity to obfuscate another topic.

Yeah, of the three major college campi(i)? on which I have contributed brain cells, my highest level of visual and physical enjoyment was, of course, UGA.
Orson…Stranko, just once, for the memories…

OOC, thank you… as you know I have striven and shall continue to strive for achievement in the highest levels of ridonkulousity.
After the above display of UGA cheesecake, I am feeling slightly poisoned by excess essence that has yet to be excised…god, some memories have a way of grabbin’ you by your courting tackle and figuratively yankin’ til you cry…did I just type that?
