TIME KILLING HIT O' THE DAY: RAY SMALL MEETS DOM JONES

How refreshing: a video of a horrific hit not timed to "BOOM!!!111" by some nu-metal band so bad we refuse to remember the name. Though Ohio State ended up winning this game 44-0 in as bad an asswhipping as you can really hand out to a conference foe, Minnesota peeked through the gloom and snatched victory on at least one play.

I don’t give a damn- you lay the wood like that and you have to strut down the field regardless of the score. maybe not 35 yards though.

Let’s not forget to give major props to the Ted Ginn-like speed of the medical staff. They were out there before Jones was even done celebrating.

Just so you guys know, I accidentally just visited the East Dubuque Savings Bank (edsb.com), by accident. You will be glad to know, not as entertaining.

However, I was slightly thrilled by the fact the deem themselves “The Bank with the Personal Touch,” and then displayed a picture of 4 to 5 lesbians. I thought they might someway be associated with KY.

+1 to Dom Jones for doing something the entire Michigan secondary could not

Alright the stos, whatever the f*ck that is, any comment with Ky and lesbians in it is subject to an ass-whoopin. Unless that is, you were talking about jelly. Otherwise, where the hell do you live and where can I find you?

Don’t make me Don Jones your ass.

BOOOOM Motherfuckers!

That was the one of very few defensive highlights under the Glen Mason era. (Anybody else notice that the Minnesota training staff has a faster closing speed than Dom Jones?)

haha now if only the rest of the golden gophers could do that on defense they might win in the over rated big 10 conference……haha the medical staff did bust ass to get out there haha

I can’t believe there wasn’t an unsportsmanlike call on that one. I guess I’ve been conditioned by SEC crews that seem to make the call for fun, but it’s weird to see something that actually deserves a flag go unpunished.

Also, Dom Jones seems confused about the score.

That’s the kind of play that makes you walk right up to your QB and kick him in the nuts afterwards…

After you regain consciousness, that is…

Us Bucks fans are expecting big things from Small this year, BTW, he’s supposed to be our next Ginn…

by Pants McPants on May 10, 2007 9:43 AM EDT reply actions

There was no confusion about the score. That was simply the 1st tackle Minnesota had made in the game. I think when you get your 1st team tackle in the 2nd quarter that it’s cause for celebration.

There has never been a worse defensive team then Minnesota the last few years. Didn’t Woody say something about run the ball and stop the run? Appearantly Grinnin Glen was only awake for half the speech.

Agree with #16…

Nice job by the Heisman winner leaving his receiver defenseless for a hit like that.

Hold on a second, I know how you SEC fans are, so quick to bash a Big Ten team… Here’s a shocker for you though, Minnesota had 2 nice bowl wins over SEC teams!!! 26-14 over Arky in 2002 and 20-16 over Bama in 2004. So for those of you from the SEC bashing Minnesota, just don’t forget that they were 2-0 against you guys over the last 5 years. Shocking I know, but some how all of the Big Ten Bowl wins over SEC teams were wiped out after Florida killed Ohio State…

I’m a Minnesota rube, and I don’t even care that we won a pair of Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl. Beating a deflated Arkiesaw (after and SEC Title game loss sent them to Nashville instead of a BCS bowl) and Alabammer (at all) doesn’t really mean much these days. It’s like a pre-season non-conf game, just with more alcohol and more expensive tickets.

Fight your own battles, tOSUBuckeyes. I have no problem hating Michigan with you guys, but leave us out of your bowl shortcommings.
