MUSTACHE WEDNESDAY: DICK STRAWBRIDGE

Our mustache of the day comes via reader Jim, who has a fabulous suggestion for today's candidate:

A man so moustachioed . . .

. . . the cursor on his website is a moustache.

Dick Strawbridge, ex-army officer and tv hero.

Oh, yes, quite: Dick Strawbridge. Happy Mustache Wednesday, motherfuckers!

Check out Dick's mustache-arriffic website here.

A “Juicy Girl” in Kunsan, South Korea taught me how to do the Dick Straw Bridge. I suffered two herniated disks and an ACL tear, but did get my picture on the wall and a “Dragon Slayer” t-shirt. Good times.

after a mustache like that you may as well shut it down. mustache wednesday can never live up to a flavor savor as thick and luscious as that one.

That’s bno ’stache. That my friends is a grass skirt for the nose.

bno = no

I guess my gas today threw me off.

Is it just me, or does this guy look kind of like Dale Earnhardt but with a bigger ’stache in the picture?

by Mätt on Apr 18, 2007 11:03 AM EDT reply actions

have you ever used Jaimy Hyneman of “mythbusters” fame?

by adam on Apr 18, 2007 11:06 AM EDT reply actions

What an outstanding specimen. That guy must have 3 inches of lip to hang that on.

Craig Stadler bows to the excellence that is Dick Strawbridge’s ’stache.

One impressive dick-tickler.

have you guys had the guy from mythbusters for mustache wednesday?

by Bill on Apr 18, 2007 12:48 PM EDT reply actions

Completely original question I am curious about…. What about that guy from Mythbuster’s. Ever had him for mustache Wednesday?

by fred on Apr 18, 2007 1:05 PM EDT reply actions

We’re saving Jaime. He has a very, very special ’stache.

by Orson Swindle on Apr 18, 2007 1:18 PM EDT reply actions

That ’stache is so powerful men must not let their wives look directly at it for fear mere eye contact will lead to impregnation. A man with a ’stache like that is clearly and alpha male.

jeebus i love that show. my DVR is almost completely filled with mythbuysters. new one tonight!

Unreal. I once had a meeting with a client whom I’d only ever talked to over the phone. He came into the conference room and had a nice ’stache. Something like I picture Wyatt Erp having. Then his older brother came in sporting something approximately like the dick straw bridge. I actually told them that I felt inadequate.

The mustache cursor on his site is definitely not an adequate reflection of his own upper lip awesomeness.

I don’t think I have that much hair on my entire face and I have a full beard (sans neck beard, of course…)

Too lazy to do the research but is that the guy who was on the original British Series: Scrapheap Challenge or the American version, Junkyard Wars? That stache looks very familiar for some reason.

by okhrana on Apr 19, 2007 12:01 AM EDT reply actions

Scrapheap Challenge. He has done a couple of shows which feature building things, blowing things up, firing weapons or any combo of the above. He also gets to work with Fearne Cotton who is nothing like as skanky as she looks in the photos on his website.

My favourite was the show where he turned a hatchback into a functioning armoured car and then let rip at it with a considerable amount of ordinance. It survived.
