Thanks O.

Not that anyone cares, but they just announced that Coach Beamer has cancelled the rest of spring practice, including Saturday’s Spring Game. Obviously.

I’ll be following the link now…

I live in New Zealand where this tragedy has shocked our small country. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all who have been affected.

Good on you for setting up a donation facility.

Hugs to you all

The link talks about “memorial donations,” but to whom are these funds actually being distributed? That letter makes it sound as if the funds are to build a memorial on Tech’s campus. Is there not a fund for the families of the victims?

Orson,

If you haven’t already seen them, many people on facebook have changed their profile pictures to a “Today we are all Hokies” image with the Virginia Tech logo above the logo of respective schools. I am not computer savvy, or I would somehow post one of them here. Check it out…it’s very touching, and I’m sure they have a Florida version that would look nice somewhere on your site.

The prayers of my wife and myself go out to all of you students and faculty of Virginia Tech.We never know for sure how precious lives are until a tragedy of any sort strikes us,but this was one of those stupid, senseless things which are so very hard to try to understand, and in all likelyhood,we will never understand it.We pray God’s very closeness to comfort all of you in the hours and days to follow.Call on Him—He does hear you.

I know for a fact that there is a link on this beautiful site that is dedicated to the V Tech families and friends and all other friends and families of all other victims of school shootings. I checked the link and goes directly to the College fund page.

My heart truly goes out to the friends and families. I know we are mourning all over the world. Yes, we stand.. all Hokies.. in spirit. God bless.
