That national championship is an empty acheivement for the following reasons:

a) It was a Co-championship with the University of Miami, meaning you only got half of the title.

b) Miami was voted number 1 in the AP, whereas the Great Unwashed Hordes of Seattle were voted #1 by USA Today. Unless you live at a Marriot, you don’t read that rag so the opinions within mean nothing.

c) That dual national championship directly lead to the Bowl Coalition Championship leading to the Bowl Alliance Championship leading to the BCS Championship. In other words, IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT.

d) Don James ate the souls of 13 puppies in a convaluted deal with Satan to make it all happen. Fact.

…and unrelated to the Half National Championship, but related to irrational hatred and one-up-manship.

e) The aforementioned Washington alumni.

f) The greatest Oregon Alumni – Howard Hessman (that’s DR. Johnny Fever to you). So you know what you can do with your nobel prize winners.

I do miss playing that ol’ boy every year. He is the JR Ewing of college football. He’s a villian but you love hating the guy. He makes the season. Fulmer = Cliff Barnes…

They do the arrows around the numbers differently. On the top side of the field the arrows point towards midfield. On the bottom they point towards the endzone. The ones on the top side of the field really threw me off. I kept thinking I know they’re on the 20 going in why does it look that way?!?!?

a) f*cking apple cup…wtf? apples = washington. beer and marijuana = oregon.
b) shame on you as udub and wazzu have only been playing each other since 1900. whereas the civil war has been going on since 1894 – seventh oldest in the country – (wikipedia that, bitches) – making it a more significant rivalry name to know. further, those losers in washington, apart from having worse beer, more serial killers and basically being a californian satellite state are also total newbies to college football making the apple cup insignificant.

c) dixon is high as sh*t because he lives in eugene.
