THE HAWGBERRY COMETH.

Still more in the ongoing saga of...

Today, an EDSBS exclusive: we have Boss Hawg's secret text messages, courtesy of EDSBS Labs and the Freedom of Information Act.

Click here to view the unexpurgated message log from Boss Hawg's Blackberry. Warning: messages will repeat randomly, so click multiple times for the full effect.

Thanks to readers...who noticed that we didn't include the link. Apologies. It's fixed now. We'd like to say it will never happen again, but fast cheap and out of control is the MO here, meaning that it will happen again, and again, and again.

I, too, welcome the link. The real question for me in all of this is why you would use a university phone to hit up your alleged mistress with texts. Like Sr. Nutt, I am an employee of a state university. Unfortunately, my package is a bit stingier than Nutt’s, so I do not have a school-funded phone, but if I did, I would think twice about what calls I took and placed using it. Is this chapter of Los Chronicas Locas a function of Nutt’s refusal to cough up $70/month for his own phone?

Fulmer Cup hijack:

Hawkeyes are on the board. If only Bain were this disorderly on the defensive line. Looks like a three pointer from downtown.

RE: Using state computers & equipment.

This is not football related, but you lawyers with judgeships in your future, please consider this:

Don’t let your little girlfriend download your vacation pics onto your office computers, or they’ll end up in the paper. (Personal note: I was at that bar conference, but I spent the whole time getting trashed in the YLD suite, or by the pool.)

HDN’s cell is now paid for by a separate entity and his phone records are no longer fall under FOIA.

Sorry, nice grammar. You get the point.

That is some funny shit right there. Funny shit.

Salute!

Panhandler – before we pass judgement – we’re going to need to see some more pics. The 2 teaser shots in the article desn’t do this justice.

by Rollo Tomasi on Apr 16, 2007 10:09 AM EDT reply actions

drogue,

I’m pretty sure I read something this past week that said the phones are NOT being handled by a seperate entity as coaches’ phones have to remain accessable for the NCAA and public records to monitor the texting of recruits

it’s highly possible I imagined this, but I think one of the moderators at Rivals said this was the case.

Add Nutt’s name to Karl Rove’s on the list of guys who really need a Gmail invite.

by DevilGrad on Apr 16, 2007 10:36 AM EDT reply actions

12- You might be right, but what I heard locally was that THE phone was no longer being paid for by state/public funds, but was now being paid for by the Razorback Foundation which is private.
It really doesn’t matter, that’s closing the barn door after the spilled milk went over the damn. Or something like that.

by drogue on Apr 16, 2007 10:38 AM EDT reply actions

that’s exactly what I had heard, but I think the Foundation was who said otherwise. Either way. I’m just sick of the whole mess. I’m ready for August to get here so we can get through the season and sort it out afterwards. I tend to think he’s going to leave after the season anyway.

waaaaay off topic:

- Has Gainesville really fallen this far off? I was in town for a wedding this weekend, and tried to go out Thursday night. Swamp was CLOSED; Grog, Dog, EMPTY; Balls was the only lively place. And that Clay Travis guy…maybe #11 wasn’t so untrue. Granted, it got better on Fri/Sat but in my heyday Thursday was the new Friday and hot b!tches was out like crazy, yo.
- A naked redneck answered the door of his room at the Cabot when I knocked on the wrong room.

Gotta be photoshop-able. Gators be eatin b!tches arms and shit, yo.

Jerk… isn’t the season already over?

Las Chronicas has illustrated an internal struggle of epic proportions all within the proverbial teapot, which, to our continued surprise, and for entertainment value, beats everything dating back to Wild Bill and his bimbo eruptions… fun, no?

I’m referring to the upcoming ’07 season

by Jerkwheat on Apr 16, 2007 11:26 AM EDT reply actions

Mike Honcho, when I was in school, Wednesday was the new Thursday, and Balls was the only bar (other than Munnigans, natch) that didn’t suck. The others there in Midtown were ok every once in a while, but all a little too clean for my tastes.

italiangator, I certainly hope you ventured to Balls’ downtown sister bar, Jacks, once or twice. Or in my case, eleventy billion, including my last night in Gainesville before moving to Atlanta. What years were you there? Because if you lived at Balls… well, then, we lived together, sir.

Hawgberry – funny, funny stuff there…

by ap on Apr 16, 2007 3:53 PM EDT reply actions

GatorAM, I was running around Balls from ‘03-’05, never really went to Jacks b/c I was better friends with Rock and the guys in Midtown, plus I didn’t have to drive to get there. I remember when I first started going for Wednesday AYCD, it was just a few people, and anytime you said that was where you were going the reply from girls was ‘Um, I don’t go there.’ Then by the time I got out of the state of Florida, the place had a healthy tension of old-school redneck represented by my group and trendy chicks running around in white halter tops. Good times.

by italiangator on Apr 16, 2007 4:01 PM EDT reply actions

italiangator, real women love Balls. And I graduated just before your time, but even while I was in school, AYCD was a huge deal. To this day, I still get text messages from my friends on Wed nights “so are we goin to Balls or what?”… good times…sigh…
