Good news for Chris, a score of 8 on the NFL Wonderlic converts to a 27 for the CFL's version.

So apparently the score given is from a sample test of 12 questions last year. So Leak's 8/12 is more like a 33 on the full Wonderlic. Leak's a sharp kid, and when I first saw this, I knew there had to be something fishy. Hopefully when his Wonderlic score from this year's full test comes out he does even better.

We went ahead and stopped that video after the Robinson pick. We've managed to block out the rest of that game from our memory, no need for a reminder. Gotta love Antwain.

Not only was it a 8/12, it was sample test administered over a year ago during UF pro day... it has nothing to do with his actual wonderlic score which should be released to NFL GM's today.

The Iowa State running back you're referring to is Darren Davis, but that didn't happen this year. It was probably 1999 or so.

Off topic, what was the sesquipedalian word you used a few weeks ago to describe a woman's shapely ass?

I'm surprised old-fashioned combine tests like the 40-yard dash and the Wonderlic are given so much weight in this day and age. Didn't Vince Young prove that you can grade out as functionally retarded and still win NFL rookie of the year? Why not have all the combine participants go on that new gameshow with Jeff Foxworthy, something like "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" It's about as useful as the Wonderlic.

During Senior Bowl week, Leak was the first QB to learn the playbook and impressed everyone with his study skills. He picked up the offense faster than the supposedly better-educated Big Ten QBs did. I don't think we have anything to worry about in terms of Chris Leak's intelligence.

Someone contacted the author of the link you posted w/ Leak's score. Here's his response:

It is my understanding that this is from the campus agility tests, which I assume is the 2006 pro day on campus. The score was obtained from nfldraftscout.com. I believe the score is probably legit given Leak probably did not prepare for the Wonderlic since he had no real incentive to. I'm sure he will fare better at the combine. I am enclosing the section of his bio where I found the score. Note the 8/12 score means he answered 8 of 12 correctly. This shows much more room for improvement than an 8/30, which would lead one to believe he is simply guessing more or less at random.

#12 - Mosby,
I could not agree more. I have an autographed Scantron from Leak's highschool days and it is as breathtaking as his Smokey Robinson's

He may have gotten 8/12 questions correct, but that's a misread of the information.

The Wonderlic has fifty questions and is administered in 12 minutes, measuring a tester's ability to think and think quickly. Leak only answered 12 questions in total, and of those got 8 right before 12 minutes was up.

Either Leak didn't understand the setup, and moved through the thing at a snail's pace, or it just took him that long because he had difficulty with it. Retests are no doubt pending.

Yeah, I know it's fun to call football players stupid but Leak scored an 8 out of 12 questions, not an 8 out of 30 questions which would be the full Wondelic test. Read about it on the link:

Something doesn't add up here (and, no, I'm not referring to bama fans showing off their shiny new inferiority complex by constantly trying to point to Auburn's). How could someone that only scores an 8 on the Wonderlic be able to strut around on campus so confidently?

He should act less like Lil' Wayne and more like Wayne Campbell, no?
