Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

ACK.

Maybe Charlie Strong not getting a head coaching job makes sense, since he's calling [NAME REDACTED] for beta on the Buckeyes.

Strong: Hey [Name Redacted] how they hangin’? I was wondering if you could give me the scoop on cracka-ass Jimmy T and those kids from Columbus?

[Name Redacted]: They’re a good football team. They’ve shown a lot of improvement.

CS: No shit they’re the top team in the country. Come on baby this is your lawya, Charlie. Tell me some dirt.

NR: They’re getting better and better.

CS: Man I almost forgot why I hated you. Thanks for nothing. And by the way, keep your filthy goddamn hands off my 5-star recruits.

This report should move the line a little bit. We are so totally fucked.

by Gator03 on Dec 15, 2006 1:29 PM EST reply actions

He called for advice about keg parties for after the Gators win.

I’m sure that Charlie is smart enough to know that he can gain more “inside information” from running a simulation on NCAA ’07 than from [name redacted].

BTW, did anyone else read the article about [name redacted]’s supposedly great recruiting skills?

I’m curious as to what occured to warrant this line:

“Heck, I’ve taken my shots at [name redacted] over the years and for very personal reasons that I won’t get into – no matter how hard some of you may ask – harbor no good tidings for the guy.”

Egads….I can see Zooker giving him his master template…

Step 1- Let OSU build a 17-0 halftime lead. This is imperative, because Tressel has never seen a lead he couldn’t try to run the clock out on.

Step 2- Send mind rays to Tressel that he should run Antonio Pittman 32 times, most of which into an 11 in the box defense.

Step 3- Tell spectacularly mulleted Redneck Linebacker Extrordinaire J. Lehman that the Buckeyes not only said disparaging things about the “Indy Five Hunnert”, but that they ended it with “at least it’s better than NASCAR!”

Step 4- Convince everyone that despite attempting an onsides kick with mere seconds left on the clock, that you actually almost won the game.

As I said before, he’s going to tell Meyer to bust out the orange pants with blue jerseys to fool Tress & co. into thinking they’re really playing Illinois. Then Jimbo sends out the ball boys dressed in the starters unis while the real Buckeyes are kicking it in the locker room with their new PS3s. Voila!

On that note, please please please let tOSU wear the away whites. They do so much better in bowl (and night) games in the white.

Talk about losing your credibility as a head coaching candidate- “Why yes, I often call [Name Redacted] for coaching advice”. That should put you somewhere below Jeff Bowden and [Name Also Redacted] on the list to fill one of the many job vacancies out there.

Re #6:

Your wish is granted – Buckeyes will wear their desert whites.

Sweet! I just read that in the fishwrap this morning.

Wow. That can’t be good.

It’s obviously something of a longshot to begin with, but there’s no point lengthening it.

If Ohio State is going to be the National Champ they are going to have to beat an SEC team in a bowl game, if they do manage to win it will be the first time they beat an SEC team in a bowl game. But, it is a possibility.
