I agree with Michael Lewis' comment that given Texas' talent level, Leach would win going away. Espicially since Texas done got themselves one of those 1-AA teams last year.

Hmm... tasty 1-AA pastry

I do not think Leach will ever get the opportunity to coach talent rich program. No athletics director will take the chance on him. Leach will forever bob between second tier programs.

What's the difference between Leach and Orgeron? Five wins and two YARR's.

Should've asked him about the eleventy million errors in his Parcells story for the NYT:

Corrections: Nov. 5, 2006

An article last Sunday in Play magazine about Dallas Cowboys Coach Bill Parcells misstated the surname of a Dallas tight end. He is Jason Witten, not Whitten. The article also misstated the position that Chris Cooley of the Washington Redskins plays, and misidentified the former team of Washington’s running back T. J. Duckett. Cooley is a tight end, not a wide receiver. Duckett played for Atlanta, not Denver. The article also referred incorrectly to a playoff game last season in which Dallas’s kicker, Mike Vanderjagt, then with the Indianapolis Colts, missed a potential game-tying field goal against Pittsburgh. It was a divisional playoff game, not a conference championship game.

Enjoyed it, Orson.

Did I hear a little Respect for The Orgeron in there?

That's Crazy Talk.

Lewis is probably just scared.

A Leach/Orgeron Lead Team would be a complete wet dream. Can you say reality show of the century?

Southern Papa, Thanks for the plug!

"Blink" is not about just using your gut decisions, rather, it's about properly thin-slicing the initial information you gather to get the most out of it. Gladwell never contends to just go with your gut, only that by properly blocking out certain corruptible factors and letting in others - putting the screen up when you're listening to symphony auditions - you can make better decisions.

Orson,

After asking ML "the most theoretical question" evah, have you thought about flash animation introducing yourself as "Orson Swindle...Funnyman...Back to Back National Champion Football Blogger....Theoretician" ?

This style's worked pretty well for somebody else in the college football world.

who did Texas Tech play non-conference? my TCU Horned Frogs. They scored a whopping THREE points...impressive , i know. I love Leach but the offense doesn't work if the DE's are in the backfield all day
