SPURRIER: “…YOU’RE STUCK WITH ME.”
He’s coming to Bama! He’s bringing Brother Bill Oliver with him! He’s…meeting with his players and telling them he’s staying put.
He reportedly jokingly told them, “some of you might not like me, but you’re stuck with me.”
On the desert island of life, Spurrier’s sticking with his girl, whose strapless dress stays mysteriously in place despite a clumsy and very preventable maritime accident.
Thought about someone else…well, he probably did. But he’s staying.

Too bad Spurrier’s staying. Not that USC’s an offensive powerhouse, but I’d like them to hire Mike Shula so we can start making jokes about Cocks that can’t score…ah, forget it…nothing’s gonna beat that “Cockblocked” joke after the UF game.

I wonder if the crack in his blood stream gave him the strength necessary to fight off a 12 foot aligator for what has to be 10 to 15 minutes at least.
It’d take police responding to a call at least that long to get there, find him out in the water.
Also, I’m wondering how they, got the gator off him without filling it full of lead. I’d have unloaded on it first thing if I was there.

It makes me sad that they killed the Gator, when it comes down to it, an alligator’s life is worth more than a crackheads
Really, leaving the situation alone is win/win. One less crackhead, and the alligator thinks people taste like crack; and will stop eating people.

The Oregeron would definitely approve of this music video. He loves Huey Lewis and the News. Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in ‘83,I think they really came into their own, commercialy and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consimante professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He’s been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

Why doesn’t Bama just go ahead and announce that Mal has been fired also and give Spurrier both the AD position and the head coach position? That might peak his interest since we all know he doesn’t like having to answer to ADs.

RedTide says:
I think it’s pretty clear now that he’s not coming… but I know for a FACT that both he and Saban contacted UofA representatives (this is coming from inside SC, not Bama) to say they were interested in the job BEFORE Shula was fired.
I don’t know if they just changed their minds, or if Spurrier’s family convinced him… or if they just decided they wanted to get Mikey fired… but it’s going to make for a great book in a couple of years.

It is a proven fact that “mary-jane” has decimated Herban’s defense. If I was Herban, and I am not, but if I was, I would have testified for making mota legal. I am sure herban has graphs and charts that show defensive stats with dope smokers and without dopesmokers.

There are still some Bammers who swear that Spurrier is still going to take the job in Tuscaloosa because

b) Mal Moore hasn’t said anything on camera about Spurrier not taking the job, and
c) their bowl of Apha-bits spelled out ‘SOS’ this morning

I personally think Spurrier chickened out of really going after the Bama job since everyone knows Bill Belichick has said he wants to leave the Patriots for Alabama. I also heard if the Patriots won’t let him out of his contract, Jim Tressel has said he will give up the right to coach for a national title in order to accept the job in Tuscaloosa.

There are only four people at The University who actually know what’s going on with this search and none of them are talking. An attorney for The University met briefly with SOS at the Tampa airport on Thursday. Later that evening Spurrier met with his team and alledgedly said “you are stuck with me” or something to that effect. I’ll believe it is all over when DV actually says it is in a public forum.
I’d love to have the boy at Bama but I don’t think he is coming. I also don’t believe that either Saban or Spurrier is the PRIMARY focus of the coaching search.
Call me Stoopid.
