I highly recommend the clip entitled “Rich Eisen Tells the Bea Arthur Story,” rumored to be the reason ESPN started turning off the mics during the commercial breaks of the old Tony Kornheiser radio show. (They used to leave them on for the internet feed, and it was even funnier than the regular show.)

That’s awfully optimistic there, elwood. Maybe if the recruiting keeps up like this year (and Tenuta stays), then I’ll be comfortable with ignoring the CGE.

Or, alternately, this could be evidence that the CGE is not actually the law of nature we all thought it was. Perhaps it’s one of those mathematical sequences where the first four seasons have seven wins, followed by 9 (10? 11?), , then the equilibrium is established by averaging the previous two seasons and rounding up, so next year Tech would go 8-4, then 9-3 again, then 10-2, or something… I’d be okay with that.
