Jamie Pollard fired Wayne Morgan (deservedly) and replaced him with Greg McDermott, which was a great move in my opinion. He fired a good wrestling coach, Bobby Douglass, and replaced him with Cael Sanderson. It was a really bad situation, but I can’t argue with hiring Cael.
Now, he’s fired McCarney, who means far more to ISU’s football program than either of the others meant to their programs. All I’ll say is, he’d better have a good goddamn coach lined up to take Mac’s place.

Apparently the deal is not done or so say the two sides. The present speculation centers on a desire to wait until after homecoming out of sensitivity to the coach they summarily dismissed mid-season. Both UNC and NC State have a penchant for having news like this come out and it ends up not being the case. We will probably have to wait until Monday to see how it unfolds.
