Reggie laid that guy out after a tipped ball while the play was still live. Once the ball is tipped, any UGA player on the field is fair game and I LOVE that Reggie took the chance to remind Harris not to come across the middle. Football is intimidation and Reggie is one of the best.

Can’t decide between Reggie/The Wire references, so, let’s post both.

First, I’d compare Reggie much more to Snoop, ’specially the hair. And Snoop scares me more than The Orgeron.

Perhaps the best part of these hits, interceptions and general intimidation is Reggie F. Nelson lacks prototypical NFL safety size.

Perhaps he will return next year for more fun and mayhem?

I hope so. UF hasn’t had a true enforcer patrolling the deep middle since Lawrence Wright in ‘96. Corey Bailey and Kyle Jackson, bless their hearts, were simply not up to the challenge.

One further question: what would happen if Nelson attempted to (gasp!) tackle Tim Tebow? Would life as we know it cease to exist?

DHC – I can’t get too enthusiastic about ragging on college athletes (despite my prior post!), but the UGA receiving corps this year is just awful.

The two leading receivers are tied @ 17 a piece. I know they have had rotating qbs, but Milner alone could be over 20 if he just caught the catchable balls on Saturday.

I think it would be ok to say a guy fell apart after a big hit if the team didn’t have aspirations of winning the SEC or a BCS bowl. That’s not the case at UGA.

I’d say there’s always next year, but the offensive line looks like it will be even worse!
