DUH-DUH-DAAAAAHHH-DUH: HEY BAMA!
We just beat the hell out of you. Rammer Jammer blah blah, etc.

Dallas Baker puts the game away.
Orson Swindle and Stranko Montana are two men pushing thirty who should know better than to run a college football blog, but evidently don't. Both graduated from the University of Florida, and both agree that college football is far too important to be left to the professionals.

rggator…your thoughts regarding the importance of lineman might be true for pop warner…probably explains why you’re not coaching anymore

“Bammers will yell that chant after a one pt squeeker win, so enough of the garbage from you. ”
Hey, Vandy!
Hey, Vandy!
Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah………………
“I find it comical that bama fans take consolation in the fact that they beat us worse last year than we beat them this year. typical of them to always be living in the past. i guess they will always have the nostalgia of that 2005 win and their “magical†10-2 season which, by their math, brought them their 13th national championship. ”
Moral victories abound. They’re claiming one because South Carolina played a close game w/ Auburn. Pitiful and sad little people.

Jaybuzz - I hope so for alabama. there’s hope - then there is overwhelming evidence and reality and expectations..
not trying to be homer here - but my god - if you sit in the stands in person and watch what these UF freshmen are doing with literally months of college under their belts. not talking about a line - for as much is made about lines - and yes you need a solid line - its the skill positions after the lines cancel each other out.
tellin you - you heard it hear first - just watch UF skill positions for the next 2-4 years…
worthless factoid - coached a lot of years myself at many levels……linemen can hurt you if they are subpar - but at the mediocre level they are just fluff in the marshmallow.. good luck with your great linemen making TDs for you.. no disrespect - just experienced opinion…….we’ll have to see - that’s what makes it fun!

I think Bama may be up and coming also.
Young talent on both O and D lines, two very good, but not great, junior wideouts, soph QB and the possibility of Prothro coming back next year.
Defense hasn’t dropped off as badly as feared, even with 3 guys from last years D starting in the NFL as rookies.

bamableg - well said. last year was cool. UF was in diapers. but (as much as bamans hate to admit) its all about who’s star is RISING and who is the aging star never to be heard from again. Mike Shula? Betty Davis? Urban Meyer? Simon Cowell? whatever.
I agree 100% about your Atlanta comment for ‘ 06 but not ‘07 or ‘08 or ‘09. SEC rules!!!!! however, UF (if you didn’t notice) plays 10-14 freshman each game - RIGHT NOW THIS YEAR - in crunch time!! unbelieveable!!. Let’s see, that means the core of the team will be sophomores next year……………..

I would have been here sooner…but the drugs just wore off. Congratulations and best of luck as the season plays on. The fact our beating did not objectively compare to the festivities last year does little to reduce my consternation. That may not give ya’ll the warm and fuzzy feeling you were looking for, but it will have to do. As an aside, I will be surprised if either team in Atlanta is undefeated.

we had the biggest bama 60 year old asswipes sitting in our section (in the alumni section surrounded by 10,000 hardcore bull gators. we were polite until they got obnoxious - I guess ‘bama hasn’t lead in a game yet this year?? They kept talking about how great they were in 1954 or some crap.
If I went to Tuscaloosa and scalped 2 tix in the middle of the alumni section, I would have had a slightly more laid back attitude about things.
Rest of ‘Bama fans in and out of the stadium were cool though.

hard fought game on both sides. I think Baker is the Calvin Johnson of the SEC. That guy is sick. Robinson played a great game against him and he still made huge plays. Congrats Gators, I have had better memories from the swamp than that.

They mocked the chomp after Hetland’s “missed” FG, thereby ensuring another Gator victory!

Congrats to the Gators. They clearly were the better team.
Best of luck the rest of the way.

Good game Gators. Final score didn’t indicate how close the game was, but Florida was the better team. I think Orson’s love for Nelson is matched by Gary Danielson’s affection for Tebow. Geez, I got physically ill listening to it.

Thanks for the info….I didn’t catch CBS’ s info about the fundraiser…I was switching around between 3-4 games quite a bit, so much of the TV commentary didn’t really register…..
Just to reiterate, my question was not a criticism, just more of a “what would all this cost and is it worth it?” kinda thing. If UF was able to use them to raise all that scratch, then it could safely be deduced that it was worth the effort.
Again, good luck on both your seasons….
