Easy on The Citadel. As a graduate, I take offense. We don’t pretend we’re something we’re not. We need 1-2 1-A games a year to meet our athletic department budget.

Never fear, that was directed at Auburn. Nothing wrong in taking a couple of Div 1-A paydays to keep yourselves up to date in the cleats department.

As somebody who’s lived on the same floor as Georgia Tech football and basketball players, let’s just say they, um, utilize the black colleges next door to Tech.

That's the kind of local flavor I enjoy from this site - now I know.

Toss up: Which was the greater train wreck of a sideline interview: Andre 3000 or Calvin Johnson's dad in the stands?

So ESPN has borrowed a page from its international soccer coverage and decided to no longer send the announcing team to the game? Hope the stock price is up, boys.

I hate Auburn, but to compare their ‘03 (pre-Borges) team to their ‘04 team (as USC fans constantly do) is the height of dumbassity, dipshittery, and knownothingness.

Gracious.

Well, based solely on the comparison of their bowl games in 04, I doubt that Auburn would have won. I can't prove it, but then no-one can prove the opposite either.

BTW, as to whether or not USC belonged in the 04 BCS game: Citadel.

Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel. Citadel.

Citadel.

Are Auburn fans the whiniest little bitches or what?

In 2004 there were three teams who legitimately deserved a shot at the title. USC had been left out the year before and was #1 in both polls, there is no way they were going to get left out for the second year in a row. If you have a gripe with anybody it is with Oklahoma.

But Oklahoma did Auburn a favor. USC 2004 was a better team than USC 2003 & 2002, both of which beat Auburn. You might have done better than Oklahoma in the BCS game, but there is no way you would have won. You got to stay undefeated this way.

And what the hell is a Nebraska fan doing bitching about the Pac 10? Did you happen to notice that there were 4 games between the Pac 10 and Big 12 last week and the Pac 10 went 4-0. Add in the loss of Texas Tech to TCU and the Big 12 has nothing to be bragging about this year.

Actually, I think he intentionally gave a shout to #41. He said, "naw, 41- that's my boy." He's a linebacker on Tech who's pretty damn good too.

“How did Calvin end up at GT?”

$$$$$$$

Which he's been hiding in the Bolivian latrines he was building in the off-season? C'mon, this isn't Oklahoma or USC we're talking about here. (Is my man-crush showing?)

It's far more likely that they negotiated some kind of pipeline of UGA co-eds to, ah, supplement the local supply.

How do you question Ted Ginn is fast? He won the national 110-meter hurdles time and again and was invited to try out for the Olympics while narrowly missing. He won the Nationals as a senior by half of a second. I don't think Calvin Johnson is that fast. Although, I guess since he's so tall and big it might just look like it. The time of 13.46 is half a second off the record and just short of olympic qualifying. That's fast.

A few thoughts:

Andre 3000 > Calvin Johnson's Dad > Matthew McConaughey

That bit reminded me of a guy I knew from Richmond once, whose favorite college basketball teams included Georgetown, about half the schools in the ACC, and that school in Kansas where Danny Manning played.

I know it was another dog of a Thursday night game (though I imagine GT fans were enjoying themselves), but how many times did E_PN miss plays in the game because they didn't come back from a commercial in time or because Erin Andrews was interviewing somebody? Actually, I'm not going to complain about having the ever-lovely Erin on the screen. I just love how whenever they pull one of those stupid interviews in the crowd, they end up missing a big play or turnover in the actual GAME.

I find it's much easier to simply change the channel whenever Mark May's ugly mug pops up on the screen. So, I wouldn't know if they're really getting better or not. I just know that Lou Holtz is like the Tommy Lasorda of CFB - they even sound alike now, too.
