FULMER CUP CLOSE CALL
USC almost scored a few point today as Dwayne Jarrett and Thomas Herring were detained by police before practice this morning. Apparently they decided, against their mothers advice some 15 years before no doubt, to take a ride to practice with a stranger... in a car that may or may not have been used in a crime. But, as it seems they were innocent of any wrongdoing (despite what Bruins Nation would like you to believe), we award them no points and remind them not to get in a car with a woman they don't know.

If someone you don’t know asks you to get in the car with them, tell them to give you the secret password you and your parents have worked out beforehand.

“Dwayne, can you show on the doll where the woman touched you?”

I guess Jarret’s car was taken away along with his old apartment.

Are we free to refer to them as “John’s” now?

Heads up USC, the woman was probably the principal who “molested” the now ex vol Smith in high school.

“Let me get this straight, if someone you don’t know offers you a ride, don’t take it?
But if someone you do know offers you a great rental deal, take it, but pay the true rental price later after the 5.0 has pulled you over?
Its all so confusing . . . Maybe my buddy Matty can post bail for ya. He’s got some bling bling now. . . . . .
Ok, but what about this, what if a really good looking women you don’t know, offers you a place to stay for the night? Am I allowed to let her drive me back to her rental? Or should I have Matty’s driver drop me off?

My favorite part is that LAPD has released the woman in question, and is saying they got the wrong car.
Basically, this was a Felony DWB until the cops realized it was going to hit the papers.
Typical LAPD.

Dwayne Jarrett and Thomas Herring’s little saga is Beavis and Butthead-ish.
The two brain surgeons thought they were going to score getting in the car. Then they get caught by the cops.
All that was missing was “The TAZER, the TAZER!!”

If they were found following Todd around later, it would complete the picture.

Wasn’t this a 90210 episode with Steve Sanders and David Silver?

Wrong. They actually did know the woman in question.
But, oh, the comedy! :(
