GEORGIA SOUTHERN WR DIES IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT
Georgia Southern wideout Teddy Craft dies in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night in Statesboro, Georgia.
We won't tell you that riding a motorcycle is a bad idea. But Craft was wearing a helmet, and as someone who's skid across pavement into the side of a black sedan after laying a bike down, there's no safe way to do it. None. It's like playing football with rhinoceroses; if and when you get hit, you will lose to whatever else is out there, and you will lose badly.

When I look back upon my life, I hope I can say that I lived life the way Orson Swindle would have lived it…balls out.

I believe that was something along the lines of Northwestern Louisiana State.
Georgia Southern is where Paul Johnson (Navy’s Head Coach) won a Div I-AA National Championship. The school is still considered a powerhouse in Div I-AA.
Terrible news by the way…

Geez, never ride a motorcycle, but NEVER even think about it in Middle Georgia. We lost too many Allman Brothers in those parts. Duane was a BADASS and died at 24! If only he didn’t ride a damn motorcycle. What is it with these celebs?
Georgia Southern has a great football tradition. I would compare it to Troy St in Alabama or Southern Miss. Very similar in the STD department as well…

Realist-
I protect Orson’s balls by keeping them in my purse.
Just kidding!
When he laid the bike down, the tailpipe burned a scar in the exact shape of Taiwan on his calf. No lie.

I recommend, if you ride a sportbike, take it to the racetrack. After riding on the racetrack, I started feeling much more unsafe on the street than on the track, despite the higher speeds.
While I’ll agree that there’s no safe way to ride a motorcycle, at least on the track you’re taking a lot of unknowns out of the equation, oncoming traffic, cliffs, spilled oil, gravel, telephone polls, etc. I highsided at 75 mph on the track and had nothing more than scrapes and bruises…
