But that's what America is about: the freedom to blow your hand off in front of horrified youngsters you happen to be related to, and soothing the pain with a nice, cold Miller High Life on the way to the E.R.
Wherever you are on this holiday weekend, we hope your national anthem provider does it just like this cop did.

The morning drive reminded me of some bad 80’s zombie movie. No one on the road.

I feel bad for that first cop, the big side of beef that was ready to take his head off. And context is important too. Note the badges: this was a department in mourning.
