I would love for that guys predictions to come true, but he's way off the mark. Auburn going undefeated? I'm a freakin Auburn fan and I can't see that. The LSU game will most liekly come down to a freakin missed kick for one side or the other it should be LSU's turn this year. Fla will be a tough opponent but at least it's at home. Who the hell knows what will happen when UGA comes to town. The trip to South Carolina isn't a sure thing. Then if they won all those they would have to face the FLA/Tenn winner in the title game. So there's no way they go undefeated. The only sure things are the cupcake games out of the SEC and the trip to our second home in T-town.

I predict the big one hits California this year. Although there will be many losses, some good will come out of it. The PAC-10 has lost 3 schools and ND is more! God bless mother nature.

Hey, guys -- if y'all are too navel gazing to realize that yes, Alabama is a backward state, that's your problem. But the gay smack was especially funny. Really shows the intelligence of the Auburn fan base.

We do buy into springboards, which may be the only thing we have in common with Craig James (besides genus species, dependence on O2, and a tendency to blab incoherently.)

What? No carnal knowledge of Susie Kolber?

It comes down to scheduling. Look at the last two years. Auburn goes undefeated when all the big games happen at home. Alabama whens 9 regular season games because all the big games happen at home. This year, it cycles back to where Auburn has all their big games at home.

"Auburn lost Stanley McClover on the defensive line, a catalyst for so much of the mayhem they made defensively last year" - Please. McClover never lived up the hype that he had during recruiting. He was a liability against the run and was known to take plays off. He will be remembered as another Robert Johnson - remember him, didn't think so.

Brandon Cox have a slump? Definitely possible, but you discount Al Borges as the OC. With a solid O-Line, the best running back (and stable of running backs) in the SEC, an experienced and tough (albeit undersized QB), and the best OC in the conference; they are a second WR away from being better on offense than last year. Combine that with a defense led by Will Muschamp and I think they deserve a lot of the hype they are getting. Although, it's not as much as they would be getting had they beaten Wisconsin; which in long run I think may be the best thing that could have happened to this team.

When did Florida get good enough to not lose twice to Auburn in one season? Who says they are better than Georgia? I would be concerned about the fact that everyone is down on Georgia (an established national power) and high on Florida (hot coach du jour in his second year with an as yet unproven offense and the nations only female quarterback).

Bottom line, as long as the Great Pumpkin loses another 5 games and devours David Cutcliffe during a hallucinogenic binge; I think we can call this a successful season.

This is probably true:

full-throated howls will return when unbeaten West Virginia, scourge of the defoliated Big East, finishes unbeaten but is passed over for the Fiesta Bowl in lieu of once-beaten...

... you can enter your own one-loss team (or two-loss ND)here. But if the ACC sucks ass this year, it may be worth it.

Chg, let me put it this way.

I only applied to two schools, GT and ND.

I had a full ride to Tech, and I still went to ND for the better looking women.

also, whoever believes that ND girls don't get naked a) has no game, b) isn't trying hard enough, or c) doesn't know where to look.

Carson=Zeus, I stand by the logic. 4 BCS bowls in a row and winning 3 of the 4 is hardly finishing weak. Last year they ran into a great Texas team that played a great game. And it wasn't like USC got blown out or anything, there were several plays that could have swung that game the other way. So yeah, I'd say finishing #2 in the nation still qualifies as a strong finish.

JohnWA: I don't get too excited about either results from a different level or a team's results being attributed to an assistant coach. Weis could turn out to be what he is being touted as, but he could be a big flat flop as well. So far he just hasn't done anything other than beat some mediocre teams (or strong teams having bad years) and play a close game against SC. I suspect most of the neutral fans out there didn't watch the ND-Stanford game last year to see how bad they looked in that contest. If the ND defense does not play better than that this year, UCLA could light them up.

Michigan will lose to ND, bank it. We'll do our typical South Bend performance, dominate time of posession and march up and down the field in the first half, but wind up unable to punch the TD into the endzone and settling for 3 field goals. Then in the third quarter, a freak play will happen that will wildly swing the momentum in ND's favor (Hennebrated interception, Michigan fumble with no defender within 5 yards, 85 yard Quinn pass where both UM safetys collide into each other and are killed instantly, etc.). ND will then go up by 20 and Michigan will then mount a furious 4th quarter comeback to lose by 4.

PaulWester"Dawg"

Another difference:

GT women are going to have excellent careers.
U[sic]GA women are majoring in MRS. They are walking ovaries.

But agreed, its a lot easier for a 23 year old Tech alum to get laid in Athens than at Tech and the women are more numerous generally better looking.

Newspaper Hack you obviously forgot the luck uGA(y) had in Auburn several years ago on their nice little 4th down play.
I love the fact that the comment cracks on the whole state of Alabama but if you take Black Hollywood out of Georgia you have a poor-mans Mississippi.
Of course your combination of a uGa(y) "man" as well as living in atlanta has put you in a tough situation. With all the gel that Im sure you wear in your hair leaks down into the funnel your popped collar has formed caused enough fumes to cause significant brain damage so Ill let your ignorance slide.

Tech women are nothing like UGA women.

UGA girls don't smell of curry and sulfuric acid.

UGA girls don't have adams' apples

UGA girls shave their arm pits. Not their foreheads.

If Notre Dame doesn't have better looking women than GT, I'd be shocked silly. That said, GT women will let you see them naked. ND women won't.
