NEVER TRUST A MAN IN A BOLO TIE
Michael Michaels, the owner of Chez Griffin and one of the co-founders of New Era Sports, claims Bush's family owes him $54,000 dollars in back rent, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He also plans to sue for 3.2 million dollars in punitive damages related to...well, something Michaels doesn't want to talk about.
Whether you should believe any of this or not is up to you, though we should let you know exactly what Mr. Michaels looks like and tell you about some of the company he keeps. To wit:

Bolo tie. What appears to be a velour shirt. Indian braids. And James Brown. (HT: HP.)
Keep in mind, this isn't the first time Brown's made an appearance in tangential connection to a college football legend of the sketchy variety:

Oh, Joe, remember that time we ran a train on Ann Margaret? That was tight, Joe, yeah! Heh!

Just the other day Paul posted a great college football pic with James Brown.

Dammit, we meant to link that and totally flaked out. It has another pic of Brown with a sketchy character:

James Brown even has lyrics about college football. Sort of.
In his epic tribute to the states of his birthplace and his residency, “Georgia-Lina”, he actually has the following lyrics:
The Bulldogs… and the Gamecocks
Tech… and Cle-hem-soooonnnnnn
While the backup singers coo “Georgia and Carolina”.
It’s pretty great. Saw him perform it at Music Midtown in 1994. Strangely, he needed a 10 minute introduction for the song, which is rather explicit in what it means in the lyrics themselves.

James just wants you to understand his point, as in “The brother got the rap. The brother got the rap. The brother got the rap.”

You can hear a clip of an overproduced, uptempo version of GeorgiaLina at his website HERE

I think the pic of the Godfather with Vince should be considered for re-posting on Mustache Wednesday. Or Soul Patch Thursday.
GeorgiaLina couldn’t be a better college football song than Dooley’s Junkyard Dawgs. JB sat in with Paul Shaffer & the band on Letterman 2-3 years ago and I swear to you they played Dooley’s Junkyard Dawgs during the commercial break.

If Michael Michaels is an Indian (or Native American to be politically correct) then I am a Martian and Stacy Keibler is an Arab.
As punishment for Bush’s stupidity, he ought to wear a bolo tie 24-7 for a 6 weeks, or sit through Lee Corso’s shows – TWICE!

One of my greatest CFB memories is of James Brown in a red leather jumpsuit with a big cowboy hat singing “Dooley’s Junkyard Dawgs” as we put a pounding on the Aggies (Texas A&M variety) back in Herschel’s freshmen season.
This picture of Dooley and JB is even better than JB’s booking photo (the most recent one, I guess).
Hyah!
