If an A.B.C. cameraman puts me on screen while coming back from a commercial break, I may be able to parlay that into a series of photo layouts in major national magazines and an advice column on S.I.’s website.

By the way, G-day sounds like a great idea as long as it isn’t April 15.

Fear not, Michael. (Incidentally, that “fear not” applies both to the G-Day game and to the implant thing.)

I called over to the ticket office this afternoon to confirm receipt of my G.E.E.F. contribution and, while I had the guy on the phone, I asked about the G-Day game, which is scheduled for April 8. The probable kickoff time is 2:00 p.m.

The G-Day game is sort of a family outing for us, as Susan and I take Thomas over to Athens to enjoy the scrimmage. (Given that we are talking about a male offspring being taken to watch a game between the hedges, you may feel free to insert your “Sanford and son” references below.)

In other words, I plan to be there, with wife and kid in tow, and I’d love to have the opportunity to meet up with my fellow denizens of the College Football Weblogging Capital of the World while we’re in the Classic City for the day.

I’d come, even though I don’t blog. Though. . .shit I may have a wedding that weekend.
