The 2005 team had a mediocre defense. I fail to see how a defense could lose Mike Patterson, Shaun Cody, Lofa Tatupu and Matt Grootegoed and be better. USC wasn't. Last year's USC team wouldn't have had such trouble with Notre Dame, Arizona State or Fresno State because they could play D. This year's team couldn't. Looked like the fat that spills over when a big girl wears pumps. He neads all 365lbs just to get that helmet off. Off course Im not saying this if he is standing next to me.
