COPING, KANGAROO STYLE.

Boi From Troy is fairly composed in his grief. Must be the solace he takes in cute baby kangaroos.

Wow, the first time USC plays a truly legit team, they drop the ball and lose. Big whoop. counts his stacks of money and laughs at those who called him a fool for betting lots on UT…no spread

by Kevin on Jan 5, 2006 12:43 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Its not like USC lost by 40.

by Patrick on Jan 5, 2006 12:46 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

And the fact that that guy calls himself “Boi” from Troy…. speaks volumes about the type of people who root for USC.

by Kevin on Jan 5, 2006 12:49 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Easy on the Boi bashing, dude, he is a quality CFB blogger. Your comment seems to speak volumes about your homophobia and ignorance as to the sociology of California.

Damn Websense internet filtering software – won’t let me access Boifromtroy anymore because it is now categorized as GLBT rather than Sports. Damn homophobic webmaster…

Congrats to Boi and other ‘true’ SC fans on an amazing run. There is going to be a severe backlash against SC, but it is a bit misplaced. Save your hatred for the bandwagoner fans who were wearing Ken Dorsey jerseys 4 years ago, and also for the media, rather than for the team. It’s like people I know who hate Tiger Woods because of all the attention/media fellatio, but you have to be able to seperate that negative dynamic from appreciating the talent/performance of the actual player. Pete Carroll is a class guy, as was evidenced by his on-field interview immediately after the game (Leinart: not so much). And take away the over the top media coverage, and the SC team the last 4 years has been amazing and always really fun to watch. Any one of us would love for our favorite team to be as prolific as SC the last 4 years.

They have been fantastic, and won with way more class than Miami did, for example. And Boi is a surrrious CFB blogger who just saw the 34-game end dream end. Condolences on returning back to earth.

this website? homophobic? Kanu, can you read? good lord. people through that word around WAY too much.

by Adam on Jan 5, 2006 1:47 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Uhm, Adam. Try following your own advice and READING the comment right above Kanu’s.

by JacketDan on Jan 5, 2006 1:49 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

i reserve my right to NEVER read. and, i have to say, i hate that boi crap. i made my name on gay.com using boi when i was about 17, and now i regret it. it mocks me every day!

by Adam on Jan 5, 2006 1:54 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

That’s Kevin, and he’s just sensitive, that’s all. Oh, and probably medicated. Actually, he may be what we imagine our prototypical reader to be: sensitive, medicated, and reading this in a crowded public library for free with an empty chair on either side of him.

by Orson Swindle on Jan 5, 2006 1:55 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

In other words…just like us.

by Orson Swindle on Jan 5, 2006 1:55 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Adam. I’m sorry – it seemed so obviously clear to me.

The comment immediately preceding mine is homophobic and ignorant.

Your comment is only ignorant.

This site is neither.

by Kanu on Jan 5, 2006 1:55 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Feh, I will have you no that I’m sensitive, medicated, and reading this rather than working. I guess that makes me your future target demographic.

by JacketDan on Jan 5, 2006 1:56 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I don’t have a problem with homosexuals, just the word “boi”. But it’s cool to jump on the PC bandwagon!

And the “sociology of California”? I know plenty about Nancy Pelosi and have seen Terminator 2, thus making me uber qualified for California commentary.

by Kevin on Jan 5, 2006 1:57 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

And dude, I’m just fucking around too, so there’s no need for us to have a juvenile vitriol fest.

by Kanu on Jan 5, 2006 1:57 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Off topic, Did you guys know that your header image isn’t showing?

Thanks for the condolences…

When is the next flight out of LAX?

That is funny.

EDSBS can we have a chance to talk some shit on Maurice Clarett.

by nastynati on Jan 5, 2006 2:13 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

“I don’t have a problem with homosexuals, just the word “boi”. But it’s cool to jump on the PC bandwagon!”

So then when you said that the use of the word “boi” signified the kind of people who root for USC, exactly what was implied there? For those of us too dense to pick up on your subtleties.

by Joe on Jan 5, 2006 2:16 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

We’ve been too busy to even cover Clarett…there are OSU stories pending, though. We’ll wait on it until we get the new dirt (always a gamble on how valid this is) on the Buckeyes.

by Orson Swindle on Jan 5, 2006 2:18 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Pete Carroll is a class guy,

Like when he gave the “choke” sign to a Dolphin’s kicker after missing a 50 yard field goal? Yep he’s all class.

Between him and the media’s slurp job it was easy to root for UT.

by D-Dub on Jan 5, 2006 2:19 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

The U isn’t supposed to win with class. They are just supposed to win. I miss the 80’s – 90’s Canes. We accept that – we embrace that.

The new canes are too whimpy.

And no class? How about ND under the Troll? OR FSU with the the stomp on the logo/ steal the grass / late hit tradition? The OSU for that stupid guy dotting the eye. VT for being VT.

by D-Dub on Jan 5, 2006 2:24 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

totally off topic……

apparently, my boy Claude Wroten was arrested this AM with 24 grams of pot and 3K in $$$$

…they are trying to charge intent to distribute…..

first they beat miami….then they fight like Miami….now they are running dope too….

Egads. Les Miles wears his hat way to high, and now we have an explanation. What happened to the LSu playas i grew up on, like Cecil the Diesel and Mahmoud abdul Raouf?

by CK on Jan 5, 2006 2:28 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

We, too, miss the gangsta 2 Live Canes, D-Dub. Too much wrong and not enough thong in their program right now.

by Orson Swindle on Jan 5, 2006 2:28 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

“The OSU for that stupid guy dotting the eye.”

Yeah, when marching bands have sousaphone players march to a certain spot on the field, that is SO unclassy.

by Joe on Jan 5, 2006 2:33 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

I had nothing original on OSU – Clarett is over done. They escaped their cheating. I actually like Tressel… So I took a shot at the band. Won’t happen again.

by D-Dub on Jan 5, 2006 3:34 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Boi from Troy is one of the best CFB bloggers on the web. If any of our teams lost a heartbreaker in the national championship game, we’d be a mess (heck, read my post after GT lost in a fucking bowl game all of 7 people watched). I don’t really care which type of ass he prefers, and I don’t see how it’s in any way relevant to his experiences as a fan.

“I had nothing original on OSU – Clarett is over done. They escaped their cheating. I actually like Tressel… So I took a shot at the band. Won’t happen again.”

Come now, ripping on OSU is very easy. One of the best comments EVAR was by long time Michigan play by play man Bob Ufer, who remarked at the beginning of one OSU/Michigan game in Columbus that he had never seen 96,000 truck drivers in one place before.

by Joe on Jan 5, 2006 3:58 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Not a lot of OSU coverage in Sunny Florida. ACC – SEC sure lots of coverage – but not much for the minor leagues.

That’s nothing, at least they were gainfully employed – unlike 80,000 of the people at your average game in Sanford Stadium.

What am I implying? I’m implying they’re a bunch of tax-raising liberal retahds out west. I like Everclear…but goddamn!

by Kevin on Jan 5, 2006 5:45 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

it took all season, but we finally got to see the results of Norm Chow leaving. Bill Simmons was right about one thing, all of us from New England (and I’m sure some Jets fans too) have been waiting for Poodle to self destruct.

by Tom on Jan 5, 2006 6:44 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Kevin-

Forget about how pointing out the lack of merit in your stereotypical generalizations of a state with 36 million people, that produced both Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, constitutes jumping on the ‘PC bandwagon’ as you call it.

Instead let’s just chuckle at the comedic irony of the specific ignorance of your attitudes & statements: that you don’t even realize that Boi, although a gay man living in Southern California, is a big time Republican who devotes considerable space on his blog to R politics.

That’s good stuff, man.

by Kanu on Jan 5, 2006 7:05 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Pete was too arrogant, that’s why they lost. Should have punted. Leinart, dumbass mediocre QB.

by CrimsonTide12xsChamps on Jan 5, 2006 9:26 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Whats with all the talk about USC flopping and pet carrol self destructing? Pete Carrols team loses one game by three points in the last secounds due to a herculean effort by a great player and you are writing him off as a fraud. What gives?

by tzubear on Jan 6, 2006 10:48 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Kanu -

It is time you learned to recognize sarcasm. I am clearly not taking you seriously. But you’re right: I am very ignorant. Roll Tide.
